Couldn't solve my sync problem. Called Semicon Technical Support and they a lot of users who are on XP are having that problem. Now they telling that actually XP is not compatible. WTF!
And was advised to hang on till Monday. Shrugs ....

Hi Float, may I ask how is the voice quality and volume of P800 and which telco r u using? (maxis, celcom or ??). |

For all P800 users, i just spoke to SE Service Soulution in Philippines and they are downloading a new software update for the phone. Should be available sometime this week. Currently my set is made in France and on version
CDA: R1B02
Phone SW: R1B
Bluetooth SW: R2C
PDA SW: R1C02
- to check your software version no. = turn jog dial up ,*,down, down,*,down,*
and i'm having problem with syncronising it on XP Pro SP1 + Office XP Pro (Outlook), said to resolve this issue. Will keep you guys posted. Really hope they will fix everything listed in

Guys with Sync problem. I just spoke to SonyEricsson Service Solution in Makati, Philippines. It seems they have a new PC Suite version that will fix the "Sync" problem, it is not available on the internet nor on SE website. They requested me to bring my notebook to them to have it install and of course along with your P800 and receipt. Below is the contact detail:

how do they expect all the p800 users to go all the way to their office just to get a copy of the software? what's the use of the internet? |

Well - do u know whats the meaning of bug ? Heh wel bug means fly or a mosquito ! P800 pc suite doesnt have a thing the problem is ur pc and ur window ! I have pocket pc and p800 on both pc with window xp they both work great and with no problem at all ,u should reformat ur pc caüse the problem is microsoft - cheers

antsky: i don't expect everyone to go there to get it. If any one of them could copy and bring it back. I will be able to host it, just that SE doesn't have it on WWW yet. I'm sure there are a lot of people who owns a P800 works/lives in Makati.
coolfighter: i'm happy for you that you don't have a problem with the Sync. If SE did acknowledge there is a new PC Suite version to solve our or my sync problem. Whose fault could it be now? My windows XP/2K/ME (3 PCs) or Microsoft? And i don't think i'm the only user having this problem. Look in here http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6141

The PC Suite 1.1.1 software is indeed much better then the original software that is still on the CDs in the shops.

At my PC everything works fine now, even when I both sync my iPaq and my P800 with the same Outlook  ) |

For Windows Xp and Office XP users who cannot sync their Outlook data with P800 using the USB cable:
I encountered the same problem but was able to do something to make mine work (although I am not saying that this is guaranteed).
What I did was to go to Control Panel of the PC and then to "Performance and Maintenance", then "System", then choose "Hardware" tab and select "Device Manager" from Device Manager section.
Once the list of all devices was shown I clicked on "Ports (COM & LPT)" and deleted the line that showed USB DC..(something, I can't remember the exact line. it no longer shows in my setup because I took out the cable long ago and has been using bluetooth). I rebooted my PC and when it did it re-installed the driver for the P800 USB docking station. Then when I inserted my P800 into the docking station the mRouter icon in the system tray started to animate and then I saw the P800 icon appear in the system tray. When I right clicked on the icon and chose Synchronize..my PC and P800 did.
Just make sure that on your first sync, you check the "Force Full Synchronization" in the Full Synch tab of the sync station settings. Also check the option "Keep computer items and override items on P800". Your PC Suite will uncheck this automatically.
