But they said on their website that the english version P800 cannot be upgrade to Chinese version P800.........I don't understand it.......why other P800 users able to upload different language e.g. Italian, French etc to their P800.......and we can't upload Chinese language to a english version P800 ???

Well from what I know, Chinese will take up lots of memory, as you know the P800 uses 4 Mb of it's 16Mb for it's on board RAM. For Chinese, this should be at least 8 to 7Mb. Hence the chinese P800's will have only 9Mb of internal Memory. there, hoope that this helps.

But that doesn't explain why we couldn't upload chinese language pack into an english version P800.......I don't mind it used up lot more phone memory size.......but why this can't be done ???

As i said, you need more internal RAM not ROM. The RAM is for the processor usage. If you really want Chinese in your P800, the only way I think is to Reformat the whole phone, which I do not know if they can. You need more RAM to run Chinese, especially when running with chinese hand writing recognition. Chinese has so much more characters and so much more stuff that needs to be in the RAM. It does not even matter how much Memory you have for useage. What matters is the memory that is in the RAM. Did you get me there??
