Hi,
Has anyone seen/purchased the P800 in Hong Kong? If so, could you tell me the name of the shop you saw it in, any contact number you have for them, and if possible the price?

I spoke to the SE distributor in HK and they said that the P800 will not officially launch until mid Jan., and the Chinese version P802 will not arrive unitl end of Feb. |

I don't think p802 is the version hk is going to get. p802 is the simplified version. I think we are going to get p800c which is tranditional. I saw this in the se official p800 white paper. |

SE will let its P802 to support both Traditional and Simplified Chinese as Siemens.

I've seen the P800 in Hong Kong - the "Water Product" version. The lowest I've seen is $6200 HKD$. This is just opposite times square. |

someone posted a site www.expansys.com (in UK) and they are selling it for £528.75 (450.00 exc.) or about US730 excluding VAT. That is the lowest I have seen.

Guys the P800s you see on the streets of HK are not all "water stock", some of them are the official ones that SE sold to mobile carriers and Java developers in HK. They are the ones that leaked out from this stock.
I had one officially from SE since begining of the month. They were going to launch the P800 mid Jan., but now they will wait for the release of P802 in the end of Feb. |

Guys, anything over HKD5000 is too expensive for the P800. If I were you I would wait. Feb. is a short month. |

The release official price is around the $5000. More or less. It will be around there.....

The best that you can do for the moment is that to wait, because the P800 (English version) will be out in 2 weeks time between the 7th to the 12th of March (I have recieved an e-mail about it). It will be $4980hk which is the best that you can get!!! The chinese versions will not be out until 2 months after the english version comes out. Yeah, I have just placed my pre-order!!! Yay, oh man, but the thing is that I am going overseas during that time and then be coming back on the 12th to Hong KOng. Me and my friend who is coming back with me here in Hong Kong will be going straight to the SE shop in Causeway Bay after checking out from the airport!!! Yay, P800 here I come.... |
