if you dont get a response, remove the screen and attach the keypad and battery then try and see if xs++/setool2lite etc get a response from the phone.
this has helped revive a few phones for me

Had the same problem over Xmas with my son's Nokia 6234. Total loss I'm afraid. Found a 6234 with a broken screen for sale on TrademeNZ and waiting for that to arrive to make 1 good phone out of 2 broken ones.

If this ever happens to you again the trick is to wash it out with as much water as possible as soon as possible. Use a cotton but to take out any gunk. The battery probably wont be the same again so concider replaceing it. But washing power, coke, coffee amongst others will all corrode the circuits. By washing it out it should stop the corrosion process. The professionals use sonic baths and distilled water so there is no impuritys left behind but most of the time you can get away with tap water. Ive been amazed in the past at some of the things ive seen brought back to life. |

I suspect that the corrosion comes from a reaction between the chemicals in the liquids and the current flowing through the circuit board. I recommend removing the battery ASAP. Don't think I'd rinse with water though. Contact cleaner should be enough.
