I agree in principle, but it is _not_ up to me to tell you how loud you should have your signal...
I think a good compromise would be for the phone to be factory-set to the current loudness, but with a possibility to increase or decrease the volume a step or two. Maybe when you try to increase the volume you could get a box asking you if you really want the highest volume as it can be disturbing to some people.
This way most people will not increase the volume, but the few that really wants to can do it
And you! Manuela and Rashkae calm it down a bit...

I think the sms tone sounds just fine on my T68mi. I always hear it.

i don't mind the noise around me..if ppl choose to let it on vibration or let it ring is fine by me. we all use our cell phones all the time and u can't help it when someone's phone is ringing:D
