I feel stupid but what to do after I clicked the link and pressed install. Nothing happens after that. Where do I find the program?

Same problem with M600i.
The phones reads the jad-file and downloads the jar-file. But after finishing (Well don't get a message that it's finished) it is nowhere on the phone. also tried to restart the phone, install it on the stick and on the phone.
Tried download from google.de/gmm, google.fr/gmm, google.com/gmm.

Anyone got a solution for this problem?

I get an "authorisation failed" message when trying to install the version from the french site. Anyone else get this? and/or know what to do to get round it?

The verion I'm trying to install is 1.06(3) which replaces the 1.06(1) which I have installed, but which isn't very good with UIQ.

the one on the previously mentioned French site (www.google.fr/gmm) is in English and works much better than that general version.

I downloaded it again today to confirm it was still working correctly. It offers on screen zoom in and out buttons and also you can drag the map on screen

I tried to download and install this java app again and this time it worked.
Strange. Don't know why it didn't show up in the menu last time.

There seems to be no support for for the touch screen. Is this the case or did I get a wrong version of the program?

No, unfortunately it doesn't support the touch screen. There is another app MGMaps i think it was which DOES support the touch screen and generally has a better UI, although it did support google maps (but plenty of others, such as yahoo and msn maps)

Which is what I have and it doesn't support the touchscreen, i have to scroll with the keyboard, or use the jog dial.

Wonder why mine is different?

[EDIT : A quick google turned up a different line which specifically said "google maps for sony ericsson uiq" which i then installed and DOES support touchscreen and is much much better than the one i had before. DOH

Double clicking is a good feature but I wish wheel would zoom in-out instead browsing up and down.
