Guess what, T68i even be able to play the polyphonic ringtone of the above 3 MMS, although the sound is very very soft, you have to place your ear to the earpiece in order to hear it .........but its polyphonic ringtone, not sure whether its from the ringer or earpiece but its amazing ! However, I am not saying that T68i will be able to get polyphonic ringtone with future upgrade.......just don't think its possible. Anyway, I am using T68m ( with R6a T68i software), not sure whether different software versions be able to play the polyphonic ringtone from the above 3 MMS templates though ! Enjoy !

Did anybody actually download the above MMS templates and transfer to your T68i? It does play the ployphonic ringtone although very very soft (place your ear over the earpiece).....kind of cool ! |

Thanks for the tips with the IZARC program, now it works perfect to send MMS templates to the phone.
I was trying to make a wap-page where my mms-templates could be downloaded from. The problem is that the phone says invalid link when I try to download a *.tpl file. I just use a standard <a href=""></a> tag. When browsing the same wap-page with the opera browser it downloads the file perfect. Do you have any suggestions? Could the problem be that the internet server doesn't support *.tpl files in the mime settings?

The "polyphonic ringtone" you heard is a .amr sound file converted from a .wav file.
You can also use the sound recorder function on your phone to create
something similar. It cannot be used as a ring signal.

application/vnd.sonyericsson.mms-template

There is a way to transfer tpl files to pc: just send MMS, and instead of number, pick email adress. Then, save all attachments, make tar archive of them, rename to tpl and thats it.
BTW, after master reset, my templates are back in my phone ("where are you" and "Postcard"). I just lost the ones from recieved ("I'm bussy", "I'll be late" and "Happy Birthday")

Thanks to mkt, I recovered some of the original T68i
MMS templates, they are now in

There are some new T610 MMS templates in
http://www.sonyericsson.com/fun
They all contains midi files, so will not work in T68i without
modification. They may still work in T300.

They don't work - phone says template is damaged "Confused" for example uses 2 smil files - this might be the fault
Also xml files look different, except multilanguage, they don't seem to have headers that files for t68i do.
I just modified the "After work" template, and it works on t68i.
