downloaded direct to phone at
http://www.goodan.com.au/wap2

I lost the factory templates after upgrade to R5.
I wish someone could put them up in a website
somewhere.

Did I mention my site is both a web and wap site.
Wap users may download files direct to phone, but
PC users have to store the files first and transfer them
to phone later.

When trying to download from your WAP site or any other site via the SE T300 it responds with "There is an error on the link, please try again" i want some new ringtones, but my service provider are to damn expensive to use the MMS service $40 per month to subscribe to the MMS server, plus the normal line subscription

Any idea's on how to download MID files and JPG's from wap sites ?

@melonite

Your carrier may not allow download files larger than 3K.
You may be able to use another wap gateway to get around
this limitation. See the following or similar threads in this forum

@goodan-how do you make the MMS templates? Is there a program I have to use? I'd really like to make some Christmas themed MMS. I just need somebody to teach me (anybody?) how to make them. Like the Birthday or the I'm Busy template, for example. How did they get the animation to work like that? Sorry I'm a little green with this MMS thing.

How to make MMS Templates.

1) download MMS HomeStudio from the Sony Ericsson Website,
this program will allow you to make simple MMS templates.
(they are stored inside the Messages folder)

2) pull apart and study the .tpl file generated in step 1.
It is actually a TAR archive of the MMS components
(gif files, sound files, text files and SMIL script)

3) fine tune the MMS components, may be changing the
timing in the SMIL script, subsitute a better animated gif
or imelody file. Then repack the files as a TAR archive,
rename the archive to a .tpl file. Transfer the .tpl file
to phone by IR, BT or cable and that's it.

4) for more information, read the MMS Developers
Guideline from http://www.ericsson.com/developers

I will try to make some more templates when I come up with
some new ideas.

There are some MMS templates for T300 in
http://wap.sonyericsson.com
they also work in my T68i. Their addresses are
http://wap.sonyericsson.com/EMI_download/MMS/loveyou.tpl
http://wap.sonyericsson.com/EMI_download/MMS/iamlate.tpl
http://wap.sonyericsson.com/EMI_download/MMS/birthday.tpl

I don't think they are the original factory installed templates.
Anyway it appears that you cannot transfer the installed
templates back to a PC.

@ Goodan

What program are you using to make the tar files. I tried making a tar archive of the MMS-files. But when I transfered it to the phone, the phone just hanged. I had to restart it... and I lost 13kb of phone memory

@ppcrockar

I use the free archive program IZARC 3.2.2 to create the TAR files.
I don't remember the website where I got it from, try a Google search
for it.

After install IZARC I am able to use WINZIP to read the contents
of a TAR archive.

Remember the phone only understand .tpl file extension,
you have to rename .tpl to .tar, modify it and
rename it back to .tpl before transfer to phone.

I suggest you try to transfer some unmodifly .tpl files created
from MMS HomeStudio to see if it works for your phone.

BTW I created a new template, I hope you guys like it.
