@marc

I spoke o them this morning and they have nothing on their systems regarding the k850, w960, p1i and the htc Kiaser - the girl on the phone literally told me that they will not knwo either... their systems simply update when one becomes available and the system doesnt give you a release date..... and to top it off i was conplaining at the lack of business phones (ie: htc Kaiser, p1i... and she told me that orange were trying to focus on 'what the market wants'...... wtf kind of response is that?)

living the dream!

That means they don’t sell many business phones so don’t want to focus on them,

Regarding the release date though, I take what the SE store says because it’s “normally” right

I really wouldn't place any value on what customer services say as until a phone has actually passed all the internal testing and is actually due for release it doesn't appear on there systems. Most of the front line staff are treated like Mushrooms, kept in the dark and told nothing.

Hi all, sorry for not replying, was extremely busy!

1) Yes I am very sure that they have this correct. I have been in there before and asked them for confirmed release dates and they have been extremely accurate about them

2) I could visit the manager if you want for more proof lol

Regards.

i used to work for vodafone, he would have got the release date info off the intranet which is woefully inaccurate. dont trust what he said to you.

I sent an email to vodafone asking when it would be released and on what payment and this is what i got back:

Dear Mr. Richardson,

Thank you for contacting Vodafone Customer Services regarding the Sony Ericsson W960 phone. I'll be glad to help you.

I tried calling you today at 16.35 hours on your mobile and home number and I'm sorry we didn't get to speak.

Mr. Richardson, I am sorry to tell you that we won't have the specific date available for the launch of Sony Ericsson W960 phone on our network.

What you can do is visit any of your nearest Vodafone Retail Store and pick up the choice magazine free of cost in which you will get the launch date of new phones and PDA's.

Alternatively, you can visit out website www.vodafone.co.uk and check our new launched phones. We update our websites regularly with our new phone that is going to be launched soon.

This phone will be launched with our Pay Monthly contracts. Let me also tell you that you can purchase it separetly if you wish to use it with PAYT (Pay As You Talk) account.

neva asked them to ring me lol stupid bloody vodfone lol

The W960i is now available from eXpansys, priced at £479.95

LINK

http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=150232

I've rung and checked and they say they are due stock on Friday.

i'm really looking forward to getting this phone and cant find it anywhere else, no network will tell me when it is due out, so i'll probably be buying it sim free.

*EDIT* Now available on play.com too.
