I can't stand T9 but that's maybe because I type in different languages. So if P800 doesn't have it I won't even notice.

Well if you have used handwriting recognition on touch screens before you`ll know it`s a novelty thing & not practical for serious input, & it looks like the little virtual keyboard is to tiny, but i will wait to see for myself allthough t9 on a t68i is definately quicker than "on screen" input on an ipaq. thats why i asked.

I like that alot, just bung it in the sync station,every day after choosing an auto sync option for say a particular word doc file & have a map or drawing sent directly to the phone to be viewed while thrashing down the motorway (occaisionaly looking up out the windscreen to check for a clear hard shoulder in order to undertake people).

About t9 in the p800, http://www.mobiledia.com/reviews/sonyericsson/p800/page2.html it says there that it has predictive text input..
