Yes, then there becomes the problem of defining older members. Some 'not so old' members might be the ones giving the best input at Esato.

If the "not so old" members don't abuse the panic button or Diss other users there won't be a problem with any input they may have to offer.

I feel it would be perfectly reasonabe to have a system in place such as the button to keep check on nusance posters, surely a respected member of the Esato community could be appointed "Master/Mistress of the BUTTON" LOL Or Errrrm Lord or Lady! ;o)

I guess the pm function is workin pretty well at the moment.. Addition of any features might require time and effort to modify the site.. If its not broken, why mend it?

I think we should be aiming for more self-control and less moderation. The perfect forum is one where there is hardly any need for intervention by the mods.

Abuse buttons, panic buttons and hotlines to the mods in a forum give out the wrong impression IMO.

Why don't we create a 'naughty-step' thread, where unruly members get sent and are not allowed to post anywhere else for a period of time.

Well, considering that the 'old' members are the ones who can be bothered/trusted to report the spam, they are also the ones who don't mind posting PMs already.

I always report rouge threads when I see them - so a button wouldn't change what I do.

The problem isn't so serious that we need to make a forum wide change.

I agree I think it was just a phase Esato was going through,

I have noticed a downturn in hostilities lately, it beginning to feel more civilised again.

Thanks to Big M no doubt.

Excellent Idea !!!

I did once send masseur a pm about spamming and the spamming was removed soon after. I never did/will again though cause im to lazy lol.....

A button i would however use, although after the button on the post is clicked it should become innactive as not to overload the mods with "warnings" (there needs to be more mods).

Id say only about 2 mods are doing an excellent job the others are "slacking off" in my opinion. Perhaps we could vote for new mods, no voting for yourself though.
