Nokia even said no to comment the figures on camera in the norwegian program.

A swedish retailer also says about 1/3 of all Nokias are returned for service. The worst phone is Nokia 8210 with almost 60% returned for repair.

http://www.aftonbladet.se/vss/it/story/0,2789,232241,00.html

"I ett e-brev till samtliga återförsäljare och serviceverkstäder uppmanar Nokia företagen att hålla tyst om hur hög felfrek-vensen är på Nokiatelefonerna."

Rough english translation:
"In an email to all retailers and servicecenters Nokia request the companies to keep quiet about the faulty rate on the Nokia phones"

Expert cannot even prove what they claim, as expert as they claim to be. This smells strange. Who paid them?

I see two reasons:

1. There is no proof of what expert say
2. It's bad advertisement

Well, as long as the involved parties have not confirmed anything, this is yet again some bad rumours

As Expert showed their exact numbers and Nokia wouldn't comment them on camera it sounds even worse than if they would have said something.

Also I see no reason why the retailers would lie about their numbers, but I can see a few reasons why the manufacturer (Nokia in this case) wouldn't like to comment on the numbers.

Also other companies said the the faulty percentage for the Nokia phones were higher than for the other brands, but they would not show thier figures

I'd like to know those figures for the T68.

I bought one, had it replaced three times, SW updated five times, all
because SW/HW related faults.
What does that make...700% fault rate?

As long as Nokia hasn't sued the hell out of off Expert, asking for...trillions of Euros on charges of slander, then I have to assume that they cannot come up with evidence to fight Expert's claim!

If been a faithful nokia customer since the 90's with their analogue models. I've had almost every nokia model ever made from the analogue series to the 92xx series. I've been changing phones every 2 months. I do agree that nokia has faulty phones especially the new models that are coming out. Even if i had problems with my nokia phones and got them upgraded i still got the bugs on it. I couldnt even tell the difference with the upgraded sw. Now i switch to SE T68i just out of curiousity and i love it

apparently, there was a printing error, and the report should have read '35 - 40% of nokias have faulty owners'

I used to have the 6110 but decided to upgrade 3 years ago, since the I've had 2 6310's. The first one had problems with its mike. So I bought another one, shortly after that purchase it started to lose the signal and switch itself off. So now I'm back to my original baby the 6110, which was made in Finland by the way. I suspect it's all due to the outsourcing of production to lower-cost countries which have lower costs but also lower production standards. Lastly, i think it's time to say goodbye to my beloved 6110, the last really good nokia. It's time to switch to SE.

Any reason for a blank post in an old thread?
