Picture quality isn't the best and the user interface is not anywhere as simple or easy to use as s. Glad I got rid of my N95 for a K810!

edit. JuanPablo, dame right that you say. numbers of megapixel, is not everything. (the sensor and the lens and the rest of the technology, its really important to). N95 brag about Carl Zeiss optic, but see how the pics looks like ! (not even close to a "real" 5 megapixel camera).

and i suppose the 3MP of K800 is anywhere near to a "real" 3MP camera? Dont forget N95 doesnt brag about the camera, whereas K800's ONLY selling point is camera. How dumb do you have to be to not understand that? |

QVGA, just respect other peoples opinions and they might respect yours, i was thinking of trading my k800i for my mums upgrade>N95(if she will) but now im not sure, i dont see why your getting so defensive about it tbh |

@ QVGA, and don't forget N95 is almost twice the price of a K800
And not everyone need a phone which battery can last a single day

QVGAs message is quite off-topic imho, though i understand his opinion with regards to N95 if we take a look at the title subject, it only says K800 camera beats N95 so the topic is all about the camera of both phones

yeah never argue with qvga.. he seems like an asset of nokia who bullies good points of SE to degrade its name and honor.
he must be git rid here somehow. |

I'm not saying anything. Heres the same scene shot by each phone, no flash, no post-processing. Both are sampled down equally by the Easto uploader. Make of it what you will.

N95 pic looked sharp at that viewing resolution, however look at the pink pen, isn't it overexposed? ake note it's an indoor shot so how come there will be overexposure like that?
K800 pictures looked blurred, but i wont comment of that just because there is no camera phone that can perfectly render indoor shots so far unless they use the nokia way of image processing. nokia uses some sort of high-edge sharpening to achieve those results-at a cost of detail lost, best example is when you capture the leaves of a tree using a N73 or N95.
if we glanced at the the picture's viewing resolution, N95 can hide all it's shortcomings on the oversharpening and exposure (but the example picture tells us that the exposure is still it's problem). but what really counts was the full resolution viewing. N95 has higher image compression and at the same time unreliable sharpening than K800 which looks less sharper but has it's 3MP details and more noise. this was already mentioned by gsmarena during the camera test on N73 vs K800 and LG Kg920 5mp phone |

Before mindlessly bashing me, think over what that guy said
"N95 doesnt perform like a real 5MP camera". How you can let that ridiculous comment by pass you is unbelievable to me.
Any way, in that last pic, i like the N95's quality, its sharper. |

bondizi, how in hell did you take this pics ? k800 takes better inside-pics then so, (with flash or whitout flash).

i guess this pic was taken in "uncontrolled" environment rather than a controlled one where even a K700 camera would shine |

An asian friend of mine has an N95 and he showed me his pictures of his holiday on his pc and i think they are way better than K800i. When i took my K800i away to Cyprus last year the pictures were awful kept coming out with blurred sea background and the sky was really noisy and that was a sunny day. N95 was crisp. I know megapixels dont mean better pictures but in this case it does. The only thing missing to me is proper flash.

Guys, yes I was looking it on the camera side. Not so dumb as QVGA states, a very important feature to have with you, IMHO.
But it's there under your eyes. Currently the overall result is on Sony's side: noise, colours, edges. And we're comparing a 3mp against a 5mp/carl-zeiss couple....
IMHO Nokia made only a matter of numbers, a marketing move, unless they'll improve next firmware versions......
Having said so, I'm quite unhappy about it because I've thought I've finnally found a mobile-everything in N95.
That's it. I'll definitelly keep my old mate k800 and wait to see how Sofia will perform, eventually abandoning the WIFI & GPS/mapping features... two very strong points in favor of N95.

Why argue?
Take a look at this detail comparison of camphones.
http://www.phonearena.com/htm[....]son-Q2-2007-review-r_1751.html
The result is N95 came out better than K800. To those who say K800 is better, pls show us another detail comparison (which is as or more comprehensive than the phonearena one) that says K800 is better. Otherwise, we can put to rest this debate and debunk the myth that K800 camera is better than N95.
