Been a very happy K800 owner, I've been flirting with an idea to buy Nokias mobile-everything-you-want N95 as on the market, but once I've had the opportunity to compare camera's quality I've jumped back and "heeeeeekk"!!!!..... how horrible!!!!
N95 picture quality is HORRIBLE, and indeed inferior when compared with k800!!!!!
Hold on guys, maybe we will have to wait for Sofia????
Yes it lacks GPS, but if picture quality is so superior, who cares? |

your post shows two things:
you buy phones only for the camera which IMO is stupid.
there is something wrong with your eyes. |

Im the same too - you always keep ur phone on you, so you always get to take pics of everything you wished you could of taken with ur digicam which isnt on you as often as your phone. IMO its a great idea.
N95 still hasnt got the colours right - its much better than the N73, but i still see cold photos and colours. Look at gsmarena comparison with sony digicam - N95 interprets the sky as dark blue when the sony digicam shows the true colour of the sky as light blue. And that noise reduction needs to relax - zoom in and try to make out any definition on trees, night photos etc.
Although K800 isnt as sharp as Nokia N95 - N95 thrashes sharpening in every pic - and the 5 megapixel advantage is clear. Also K800 pics are too light and need their pics to be much bolder and defined. |

True; not so stupid IMHO. I don't want to regret for leaving my cam at home.

LOL!!! Take a look at gsmarena comparison and comeback...
- N95 has loads of NOISE
- N95 picture edges are rather soft, or crappy when in "sharp" mode
- N95 "pink " affects pics |

zoom is just stretching the image.
you better never use the zoom option.
you can resize/crop/zoom on your pc much much better compared to the image options of a mobile phone.
but than again, i do think you're right. K810/K800 does take better pictures compared to the n95. |

N95 doesn't have "horrible" picture quality, period! |

Picture quality isn't the best and the user interface is not anywhere as simple or easy to use as s. Glad I got rid of my N95 for a K810!

In my opinion, Nokia never makes better camera than Sony Ericsson (for pictures, not video) in my opinion. SE all the way .

How have you guys compared the quality of the pics from k800/810 and N95?
The quality of the screen doesnt say much about the real picturequality when its printed out as its still only a tiny screen.
I partly did buy my k810 because of the camera, and im not disappointed with it.
I didnt buy it to replace my filmroll camera, but to have a camera handy on a daily basis.
Im quite impressed with its lightsensors, daylight pics are pretty good and clear and I have taken some really good night/evening shots with it too.

People tend to think that more pixels = more quality. That is totally false
A good 3MP camera is better than an average 5M camera > K800 is better than N95.
Not to mention night pics, where K800/K810 are WAY better due to xenon flash |

edit. JuanPablo, dame right that you say. numbers of megapixel, is not everything. (the sensor and the lens and the rest of the technology, its really important to). N95 brag about Carl Zeiss optic, but see how the pics looks like ! (not even close to a "real" 5 megapixel camera).
but i have seen good Nokia pics as well (but only daylight-outside-pics). some of my friends N73 outside pics (especially "snapshoots". taken from a car in high speed, etc), got really good (except for the blue fog sometimes). there was my k810i camera not so good, SE 3MP camera is very sensitive.
