"what do you expect? to lose quality over time? of course it's still great" - I'm not sure if this message was meant for me , but after all I don't expect any loss of the quality . I would like to say that rough use of the headset makes it not that reliable. The wires could break or the fastport connector of the headset is getting loose so it can be very very easily pulled out of the phone's connector. But it's not like that in my case (and anyone who uses the headset with attentiveness.

but if your wires break then it won't sound at all. if the wires are intact, the sound quality is the same. that is what i wanted to say.

Just reporting my experience, glad to know that mine is not prevalent. I might now look into a HPM-75.
What are the differences if any between the HPM-70 and the 75?
Is there a 3.5 mm adapter that has in-line volume/call controls that will work with a K790?
Thanks in advance

I think the headsets with more controls on them work only with Walkman phones (I'm not sure though), but the HPM70 does work OK.

Well the following may be that cheap chinese crap you are talkin about, I just ordered it from ebay I will be writing a letter to SE with this photo and asking them if they can release thier own in the ftuture as I like these realy much and have to long of headphone wires to be able to cope with the extra long bit of the HPM-70
