I was wondering if anyone has any experiences with the fastport to 3,5mm mini adaptor? (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mini-3-5mm-Earphone-Adapter-Sony-Ericsson-W950i-K800i_W0QQitemZ150128814687QQihZ005QQcategoryZ42424QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)
Is it ok quality and does the job, or is it just some useless crap from china?

I wouldn't buy that cheap Hong Kong stuff, beacuse it's bad. I had few bad experiences.

If you buy a HPM-70, you don't need your headset anymore The sound quality is very good, actually.
About the adaptor, I had one of that design once, but I had problems with the springs that holds the connector in place. They were not strong anough, so the plug snapped loose from the phone from time to time. Also, there is one major design flaw eith this model: It's angled in the wrong direction. If the jack was directed to the left instead of to the right, it would be possible to use it together with the CST-75 charger, it's impossible with this design. I use an adaptor with about 5 cm cable connected to a jack. The fastport connector on that adaptor is identical to the one on the HPM headsets, with the cable directed to the left. |

I have one of these mini 3.5mm jacks coz I hate the wires. It is actually pretty decent. I didn't have any problems with it breaking etc. For £4 it won't exactly break the bank just to see what you think. Of course you can't use it with the charger and as it has no mic it is useless for calls but it is fine for music.

If you need only for music it's OK, but after all, I think the HPM70 is a better choice.
Btw my keyboard broke while typing this post so I had to use my old one to continue .

Just chiming in to report my bad experience with the HPM-70
The cable of mine cracked open right where it lefts the "fast port" almost 2 weeks after purchase (SE didn't honor the warranty)
It's still usable, with some crackling here and there, but certainly a sub par product/experience with this particular one. |

No problems at all with my HPM 70 and I've had it just over a year now.

With the 1st mini adaptor I had it kept on coming out every half a minute so annoying. The second one works fine but strips the gold plate where it comes into contact with the jack, not good if you have costly earphones.
