Very strange, the Voda sim wouldn't get a signal in that 3330, but I've put an Orange sim in and it's fine! Calls in/out on it, gets a full signal... but just won't get one on Voda? Will try other nets later.

That phone might be faulty then, think I'd best sell it as so just in case!

It might also depend on the sim-card. Sometimes old phones don't work with new sim-cards and also the other way around. So try with another Vodafone sim if you got one and it might work.

That 3330 still has a good signal on Orange, no dropping of it so far.

@miss uk - the phones that don't sell on here I'll probably then list on Ebay, but would rather sell here, avoid the fees and not have to worry about Paypal and that eating any money that would otherwise go to the hospice!

slightly off topic but once in a while you should get some esato members (fatreg) to donate some phones and you could have a charity auction on here, on ebay or somewhere and raise even more money if your wife goes there all the time. you would get in her good books and raise money for charity

free bump

it depends on what gsm frequencys the phone has, back in the day phones were single or dual band, for instance, Voda and o2 use GSM900, and i think tmobile and orange use 1800 (voda might use 1800 too tho)

some of the phones may only work with gsm 900 or in the above phone it may only support GSM1800

hope this helps [addsig]

Everyone I think!

Any more bids, as this ends at 22.00 tonight!

So far still no bids on the 3310, C35 or the old Nokia and Motorola - I can split those two or sell together... indeed sell these in any combination you wish!

Only two hours left, remember any bid as long as it covers postage will get these!

And remember it's for charity, not the 'sammyboy back pocket' fund!

I have another three phones to sell on behalf of the hospice:

Nokia 7110 - Wasn't this the first phone with Wap or GPRS? let me know! Just been unlocked for any 2G network (Damn, I wish it was still this easy to unlock phones nowadays as this one was! ). Fully working, made a test call successfully, though for some reason the slider won't lock/unlock the keys or answer/end calls? Will take it apart later after work and see if I can fix this. Otherwise fully working. Fairly good condition for age, just a paint spot on the back and some marking consummate with the phone's age. Phone & batt only.

Nokia 3210 - A retro classic! Also just been unlocked and works on any 2G network, again fully working and successfully made a test call so mic/speaker working. Battery lasts a couple of days still. Reasonably good nick, again typical marks for the age of the phone. Phone & batt only.

Siemens C25e - Comes with leather case pictured. Can't get this to power up despite leaving on charge - may just need a new battery? Looking at the battery it's basically 3 'AAA' batteries in a plastic casing, you could probably take this apart and stick 3 new batts in and try it (I might give it a go if I've time). Phone is in an excellent condition as looks like it's been in it's case all it's life, just a few scratches on the screen area. Phone & batt only.

See 1sr post for details of the charity and payment terms

Bump, make me an offer, I'mnot setting a price for these so anything goes (within reason!).

With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA
