i think no way to turn off cursor in web browser. I like the nokia browser because it can load pages fast but unfortunately there is no way to force a link to open in new window. So sometimes I use Opera instead when I need to use multi window browsing.

I found that if the phone seems frozen, just wait a while and it will right itself. Somehow, N95 have ability to detect hung program and kill it after a while.

In the 6 weeks I have the phone, there was never once I need to remove the battery.

what horror story?
I believe many who bought have no wobble problem. Mine did not. So I suspect it maybe a bad batch from a one of the few factories churning out N95.

OS is rock solid. No crashes at all. Some software niggles but nothing serious. Anyway after updating to new firmware the phone OS is even more solid. Battery life is not great but sorry to disppoint you, it is not a horror story either. I can get full 40-48hrs with moderate use (total over period : 50-60mins of calls/about 1 hour using PIMs / 10-20 min surf the net with wifi / a few photos/short video and some music)

Irritation:
- Opening huge web pages (with alot of images) sometimes cause "memory full"
- Multimedia key sometimes stop working
- huge screen attracts finger prints

Can you turn of the cursor when browsing? I hate that thing!
Mine froze twice and reset a few times to.

can you turn off the cursor in windows? seems as if you have problems with nokia in general, leave it then.

Errrr... how about working out where a bad batch is concerning build quality?
I seen and played with to a fair extent my friends N95, The build was solid, slider again, solid and that is an O2 contract phone gotten in the UK a month ago.

On the same area thing, I have had 4 K800i's. All had different bits which wasn't right, the 1st was great, just the camera didn't work. The 2nd was all great apart from the keypad peeled the rubber coating just about instantly before it died and the 3rd was just a prob I couldn't understand, nor could the shop but later found easily overcome. Phones 1 & 2 came from diferent parts of the UK and 3 & 4 came from the same shop in Leeds UK.

It's Sod's law, just hope he ain't in your area when you buy!

He asked ONLY about build quality ppl so it doesn't matter if you like the back or the way NOKIA is written or if the OS is stable lol!!!so here's me answering the question directly...the slider is a bit loose when in the closed position on my phone but when it's open it's fine, so i simply use the phone in open mode or it would really irritate me!other than that the quality is top notch i especially like the speaker covers on both sides in solid metal.it's not a suspect phone as far as build quality because i dropped mine onto hard concrete and apart from a small scratch on the front corner the phone withstood it easily.the cover did not even come of....all in all the build quality is not something to put you of this phone as the features more than make up for it.i mean which phone has all these features and good build quality?
