How much battery life did the phone have left? imho it's not essential to have a fully-charged battery, this is just to ensure you have enough charge for the update process. Even a half-charged battery should be sufficient, I've done updates on that level before. Not sure it'd help with moisture damage, but it's worth a try just in case!
With regards to warranty, I doubt you'll be covered, moisture damage sadly usually isn't.

The battery bar was literally empty, and if i had left it much longer without putting charger in i'm sure it would have turned off anyway. Thanks for te link, i might try the rice thing..do you think that's the problem, that there is still moisture in the phone?
thanks again |

Dude that sucks. I dropped mine down the toilet fully submerged for 2 few seconds and it still works. BUT my dictionary erases itself all the time and as little as that may sound its so annoying.
Oh, I believe you, dude.. That can be VERY annoying. Especially for me, I cant send an sms without using the dictionary! (especially not with my 'own' words.. *cough*) |

Hello,
My K800i was emerged in water last week, and so i took it apart and dried it out and it miraculously started to work again, but soon after i needed to charge it but when I plugged it in it turned off straight away and now wont turn on again and wont charge
Next time use vacumm cleaner to suck off the remaining water inside. Works for me |
