its not the same. the phone wizard does not provide settings for you, it merely takes you through the steps required to create an email account. The web version actually knows the incoming and outgoing servers to use and adds these into the message it sends to the phone.

I have set up several different email accounts using the phone wizard and in every case I had to know the values to put in.

yes, its possible to use t-mob for incoming mail, but only if you have a tmob email account. if you have an email account somewhere else then you need to user the incoming server for that provider

also, the suggestion of using the phone wizard is no help really. The original poster has asked for the server to use to access hotmail (if there is one which I'm not sure there is) and while the wizard takes you through the steps required to create an email account, it doesn't populate the settings for you, you still need to key them in and hence you need to know what the values are...

you could try the Nokia phone settings service. I don't see hotmail there but MSN and MSN secure is there so perhaps one of those works?

does not work for hotmail.... dammm
anyone other idea's?

the link boba gave offers a 3rd party solution pop3hot.com but this requires you to give your hotmail username and password to a 3rd party so caution should be observed

for more information on that see here
