yes, as boba said just go to the setting wizard and chose email settings, it sets it all up for your there and it adds the imap and pop3 server names for you automatically [addsig]

to be honest, donnow how at hotmail is, but for outgoing and incoming emails i use the email server of my operator ( t-mobile ), cos with gmail server it didnt worked. u could try it with your operators server settings to make it work

unless you are using your mobile providers actual email service (i.e. tmob in your case boba), its no good using their incoming server as the incoming server needs to specifically be that of the email pop3 server that stores your emails

you can, however, use your mobile providers outgoing server to send email

i use it only for sending emails, for incoming i use the gmail app insted , its better. i know, its possible to use t-mob incoming mail too, but it takes more data as the gamil app, so no use.

yes, its possible to use t-mob for incoming mail, but only if you have a tmob email account. if you have an email account somewhere else then you need to user the incoming server for that provider

also, the suggestion of using the phone wizard is no help really. The original poster has asked for the server to use to access hotmail (if there is one which I'm not sure there is) and while the wizard takes you through the steps required to create an email account, it doesn't populate the settings for you, you still need to key them in and hence you need to know what the values are...

you could try the Nokia phone settings service. I don't see hotmail there but MSN and MSN secure is there so perhaps one of those works?

@Wesley_NL

For all E-Mail set up and settings just go here

https://nokiags.wdsglobal.com/advanced?siteLanguageId=118

and if it is an account that can work on the device it will be sent with all the correct settings. A nice and very useful service from Nokia IMO.

Hi Boba,

It may well be but IMO it is a lot easier to use as can be done from a computer with a large screen and keyboard, just my preference though.

yes, thats a point too. so the wizard and the online settings solution are perfect for everybodies problems, cos u can make the right settings via mobile and pc too.

anyway, seems the link above i posted gives the answer for the hotmail server problem.
