yeah the phone really does come with every thing you could ask for!

Unfortunately, it doesn't come with a built-in camera, nor Bluetooth...
Can you tell us anything about Standby-Time? Heard that one has to recharge it every 48 hours...

CHeers,
Rog.

there are rumors that bt can be implemented via bt enabled sd card at later time... so this should be solved, as for the cam, it comes with one, even though it is not built in, many people don't ever use it...

I think it a better idea for the cam not to be built in , just think off it the 7650 without the cam built in would a great phone a heck of alot smaller.

i agree, best way is to have a add-on cam nad save on the form factor.. the phone will be much slickier... the built in cam is only good on phones like p800 because it has to be large anyway due to its pda directed use... so they have to have a large screen and stuff. that is why the cam does not really add bulk, but with smartphones like spv, bigger form factor would be pushing it.... imo.

Hey Guys

I jave just found an unlocked SPV on ebay from a respectable seller:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1940999585

My point is.....it deffinatly can be unlocked.

Do you think it would be a good or bad idea to go and buy one on on orange.....get it unlocked eventually for use on o2.....then pay off the contract? Your views are appreciated.

There are not many things that are network dependenat are there? only backyp and updates?

Thanks guys
Mark

@rog
rather it didn't have a built in camera, that way wieght is reduced
bluetooth yeah I would definately have to say that is the only way they shot theirselves in the foot with this phone.
battery time yeah I am worried about battery time I think I may have to charge it daily or even carry the charger with me no where near as long as the t68 but remember a battery gets stronger after the first couple of weeks so I don't know its full power yet.

@swazi £99 mate

@[MDS]
yeah there are two solutions to the lack of bluetooth in the pipeline one, as you said is the sd card option and I read somewhere about something that pops into the headset socket.

@marknicholls
Mark, I generally have a rule when I purchase off Ebay and it is; if the seller has never sold anything of greater value than what he currently selling then I wouldn't buy it from him.
Purely because I could get a new ebay name, buy a million trading cards or something for a $ each or .10 cents or something and get a million feedbacks then I could avertise 10 unlocked SPVs, 10 top dog Laptops, 10 19" LCD screens and have them all end on the same day and just purely cash in and never use that name again

after doing some research here is the update on the unlocking for all who is interested. there is no question the phone IS unlockable and quite easy.... the reason i am sure: it has been reported that when you insert non orange sim into the phone it promts something like: "please enter the unlock code"

first alternative: buy a phone from denmark, for some reason all spvs that are sold there are not locked (i am not sure if all are unlocked, but i heard that) so there is no pain in the a$$ if you buy it there, the only problem is the price which is a whooping 450 brit pounds....

second alternative: get it unlocked through orange, but this is also costly 20 brit pounds + the remaining line rental amount or whatever they call it, and i belive you have to be an orange subscriber to utilize this way of unlocking....

third alternative (currently unavailible) there are people saying that someone is writing a keygen for this phone, the program should generate those codes the phone promts for, the program is said to be free (pretty much like any other ms cracking solution or patch), however this is not confirmed or guaranteed to be availible and most improtantly i have no idea when.... this seems to be the best and cheapest way, so i am craving for that keygen....

also for all interested there is a new SPV specific forum at http://www.modaco.com ,so go check it...

as for me the future is orange... i think i will order mine on monday and give in my gd87 for it... lets just hope that it will become unlockable through that upcomning gen.....

Web browsing is quite good you can go onto pretty much any site but have to do a fair bit of navigating to get the small screen over the right part of the page. Yeah secure sites no problem just logged into my bank account now.

and yes it does support avi I think or failing that wma. It can stream video over the net too! I'm gonna get a big arse sd card so I can store two episodes of friends for my bus journeys to and from work

I'm selling an unlocked SPV on Ebay (was officially unlocked by Orange Denmark, I have the ul-code). Complete with add-on camera and english UI.

I made a little quicktime video, showing (upper left corner) that it's running on the Libertel network.
