Yesterday i made a thread regarding UIQ3 devices problems and how to deal with them precisely because of that...i just hope laffen makes it sticky, to avoid more useless threads
A UIQ3 general FAQ also would be good

I think the issue with some of our tenured members, is that they were born knowing it all.
Give me a break...... life itself is a constant learning experience. We learn from each other. Through our experiences, experiments , information gathering etc.......
Let's not lose focus on what the real purpose of a forum is........
TO EXCHANGE KNOWLEDGE, IDEAS , FINDINGS !!!!
Newbies, continue to make your valued questions and welcome to esato !!!!!

So you think having 11 threads about "help my m600/p990 is restarting" or "where can i find w950/p990/m600 software" is a good thing???
please...also, ever heard of search???

@ares hola u are right, but we all were newbies in the past too... it disturbes me more that they are called "retarded" then to see the same question 11 times...

Admittedly users should do a search prior to posting questions. That said, a hostile tone toward n00bs won't help the Esato community in any way.
Also, how do you define a n00b?
I've been coming to Esato for years but didn't create a user account until 2006. Prior to that all I did was search for answers without contributing.

Ok confession from me... I knew the title was inflammatory and I did that to get people discussing in a frank manor. I respect what you guys are saying about helping people and trust me it's something I try to do as others have me. What I also try and do is help myself looking through old threads etc. The one that springs to mind is when I was trying to get Gmail working. |

@Guy-H
Its possible for you to organise something like this yourself.
You may want create a thread with links to all the most requested help topics and keep it organised yourself or ask masseur to make it a sticky or something.

Yeah, the "retarded" part was excessive
But i think we all got the point...some FAQ threads most be done (i just made one yesterday), and then people should avoid answering "spam" threads

... Also, when you are on a slow crappy wap connection it can be tempting to quickly start a "new" thread rather than to spend loads of money and time searching - sure, once you find your way around/feel confident to pm "strangers" etc... And how long have the k800 v. N73 thread gone on or esato hate ipod...??? "retarded"!!! Still, some good points!!!

its not just noobs, ive seen lazy questions from people that have been around for time! I dont get why people dont google questions before they ask! Its always my first source for any question, phone or laptop. there is always someone somewhere asking the same question and the answer is always out there. |

Calm down everyone its just a newbie. Everyone should just chill out and stop over reacting. I was one of those for ages i visited this site just reading forums and downloading free themes then i only became a member last year in December. I dont normally ask may questions just voice my opinions and add any comments on things. So to who ever it was who started this thread CHILL OUT. I forgot who started it now.
