First the bottom line: Mophun Engine works on T68. But SE will never release it for that phone.
Reasons are not to bother customers but
a) SE has to pay royalties for each phone which includes the Mophun engine. So they cannot just upgrade any phone already on the market.
b) You would loose much space in the memory of your phone. So a whole bunch of existing functions in the T68i would've to be skipped.. And who could decide which functions had to go and which not?
c) several other reasons..
cheers,

Interesting to see replys to this thread saying 'NO and NEVER' and 'NO U CAN'T USE JAVA ON A T68'
I asked Sony Ericsson whether there were plans for a Java upgrade to the T68i and their Technical department replied 'At this time we have not decided on a java upgrade for the t68i. We are in constant negotiation with sun microsystems and will keep clients informed of any new developments'
This seems more promising than 'NO and NEVER' and 'NO U CAN'T USE JAVA ON A T68'. Did the people who posted these replies actually ask SE? Seems odd that SE 'have not decided' and that they are in 'constant negotiation' if its not technically possible on a T68i!
Here's hoping... |

I knew it was possible, I just wasn't sure if they would do it. Its nice to hear they are considering it though. |

Not really... look at this: http://www.mophun.com/viewtopic.php?p=3081#3081
One of the Mophun's developers said: "If you persuade Sony Ericsson we do the implementation!"

Well, on Mophun's webpage is stated that Mophun Run Time Engine takes very little memory. In the worst case, I wouldn't mind "losing" 100kb from the phone's memory for getting Mophun...
Someone wants to set up an online petition? I think there should be many people interested in getting Mophun into T68!

I don't know what Mophun is but it looks like a good feature. If it allows to play games or download them then could simply get rid of ALL card games and then I think you would have all the memory you need to implement whatever you want without touching any useful function.
