"Sony Ericsson P800 kommer inte i år"
My Swedish is a bit like the chef in the Muppet Show, but doesn't that mean: "P800 will arive THIS year"?
--------------------------------------------------------------------
No, it means; Sony Ericsson P800 will NOT arrive this year.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Could someone translate the piece?

--------------------------------------------------------------------
From the beginning it was said that the P800 should be released during the 3'th quater this year. Then it was the 4'th Q. Now it is clear that P800 will NOT be released this year. And the latest word to the retailers, is that it will not be released at all during this year.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
- Den senaste informationen vi har är att P800 ska levereras först i januari, säger Daniel Lindholm, marknadsansvarig på Geab The phone house.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The latest information we have is that P800 will be delivered in January, says Daniel Lindholm, marketing executive at Geab The phone house.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------
And basically the last part says that the delay is serious for SE because of all the concurrents releases at the same time, compared to the lack of cometition it would be if it had been released in time.

Phew, I have tooo much time on my hands right now I guess!!

I called Voda UK today as I wanted a straight answer about the P800, I have paid a deposit on one as a corporate customer. I have been waiting 4 months noe, and i got the answer.

Voda UK will NOT release the P800 on the UK network until Jan 20th at the earliest, as it has repeatedly failed UK network testing.

They also noted that the Nokia 7210 has been pushed back to 8th Nov as it again failed network tests, ( was the 18th Oct then 25th, then 1st Nov)

Great eh, lol.

That'll be the English football fans , not the Scots.

We can get the 7210 Sim free easy enough, just not officially from the service providers.

I came off the phone with half an hour ago.
The official release date, for the Nordic conties (Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland), is

STILL Q4.

For the rest of Europe she could not say for certain.

So guys, hang in there. It's not that far away!

In Finland SE said the final version of P800 is ready. They just received two final units. Not only Sweden but also Germany are those countries where it should be first available. I hope Finland will be one of them too.
