When you select backgrounds.....does it say anything underneath the pictures???? Does it display the filename ????

In the picture browse mode, it's at the top of the screen, but when I select the picture there's no text on the page. However you can always use the options key and view/rename a picture.
Not beneath, but at the top of the screen. |

yes ...I can too!!!! but not on the top.....at the bottom....there is no bar at the top....Also it displays the extension of the file!!!!!!! and some pictures have the extension *.bm instead of *.gif |

mathmos23 - thanks for the interesting information. i was told by ericsson service centre in singapore that the prototype phones cannot have their firmware / software upgraded not have the phone repaired. thought i should share this with you since you indicated that your friend's father will be sending his for firmware upgrade.

None of the Ericsson prototypes can/will be upgraded. However, if it is a production unit with prototype software it will be upgraded upon request. |

Don't worry I have a person in Ericsson Service here in Greece who is goimng to do it. that is why I took his phone with me. Because I know this person!!!!
