Hurray FW R4EA031 is fixed and W810i's Mega Bass is back!!!! All you need to do is open SEUS do all routine procedures and atlast when it asks "you have the latest software, continue anyway?" click yes/ok and reload the same FW your bass problem will be fixed and one more thing I have noticed is when you play video files in walkman player and if you try FF or RW the current clip it skips to next clip. Thats it for now.

People please! Lets don’t constitute lower speaker volume as a bug. The w810 is designed in its on way. Meaning, it is not as a standard that its speaker volume should be louder than it predecessors. Don’t get me wrong, it is off course a good thing that future phones volume are louder or loud enough with their predecessors. But is the w810’s volume not acceptable with it’s predecessors?
What if w810’s present preset volume was the loudest in the market, wouldn’t you be satisfied with it? IMO, the volume from the speaker, is not intended to act as a mini ‘boom-box’. There are so many portable speaker accessories out there. I think, you should get one of these if volume is what you crave.
I have mini computer speakers with a sub-woofer which I connect with my phone whenever I want something louder and clear than my phone’s speaker. I will also use my supplied connection with my home stereo if I want a complete disco experience. And trust me, if you connect you ‘walkman’ phones to your home stereos you’ll unleash the real quality in these compact units you own!
Afik, the speaker is serving its purpose so we shouldn’t call that a bug; neither was the w810 intended to include a function to secure your messages. Yes we all have the right to our opinions and in fact airing them out helps SE to counter such problems but again we ought to be reasonable in the way we put our points. It might panic others noobies in particular or send out the wrong message to others.
If you need an improvement in future SE phones, I recommend you post such in this thread:

Here is a small tip to hear the audio on your 810 a bit louder. Put your phone on flat surface like table glass or tiles floor and it will dramat sound wide.

Is it safe to update using SEUS? I keep reading here of people's phones going to the dreaded blank screen when using SEUS and then never turning back on.

I think you should strictly follow the steps of SEUS and also make sure that you download your Updates from your PC's internet and not from phones gprs or edge. also make sure that your pc is virus and adware and spyware free, coz it lessens the speed of net as well as pc and there are chances that all the files of you FW may not transfer to your phone swiftly and the blank white screen prob may occur or also is the possibility that a connection breakage may result into probs such like that. One more thing never cancel the Seus auto update process that it does many times before starting the programme. thats all in this quote!!!

Hey guys I have noticed one thing more playing walkman that is if you put your phone on full volume while playing a song p utting it on equalizer setting on Mega Bass with HPM-70 earphones the bass will be comparitively less and treble will be more compared to putting it on volume level less than 7 1/2 or full ie not more than 7. got my point??? so if you want to hear more bass then listen to a volume level 7and not more than that.

Hmmm, I'm one of the few people still using dial up. (Hey it's free) Anyhow I loose connection all the time so perhaps this could be an issue when attempting a SEUS update. Good tip and I'll take that into consideration.

why would you want to listen to the music through the loudspeaker anyway? These are only intended to be listened to through the headphones.

I wonder the same thing. Loudspeaker listening certainly isn't the way i want to experience anything but my phone ringing, not even speakerphone mind you. I'll have to jump on the bandwagon with everyone else though and hope for an overall volume increase when using the headphones in a future firmware.

Well it was just for people who want to share a song with someone else at such places where they don't have any extra accessories or amplifiers to boost sound through it. In such cases you can hear the music at a bit louder rate, thats it!! Even I don't use my phone's speakers to enjoy music or anything except rings!!! maybe you can take that as an observation??!!!

@ DV

Observred...

Yeah, on the rare occasion I assault some friend with my latest aural delight I have never felt my phone's loudspeaker was performing substandard. It is embarassing however to lend someone the headphones and have them look at you and ask, "can't you turn it up"?
