@Daisun
You are getting the phone volume and the Multimedia volume mixed up try changing the multimedia volume and then adjusting the headset volume and see what happens.

I must say most of the time the HBH-DS970's work perfectly with the M600 and when they do i am more than happy with the sound but sometimes i have to actually start playing the Music Player and then transfer the sound from there for it to work. As i have stated before i am less than happy with bluetooth stability in my M600 looking forward to the next update and am going to get the newer firmware for the headset also. You would of thought by now simple things like this shouldn't need updated software to fix bugs i really am beginning to lose all faith in SE and am beginning to wonder just what SE will have to come up with for me to ever be a customer again.

There are plenty stability issues with the k800i and HBH-DS970. It appears that the buffer used for streaming is not large enough to sometimes capture enough data, or the buffer tends to overflow resulting in stops in the music. Positioning may play an integral part as well. My k800i does not like to be placed on my left arm while it is happy on the right. All in all I am abandoning SE. Their products are becoming worse and worse. Anyone want an M600i, two months old cheap? I am getting the N95 when it comes out. I don't care how much it costs.

I must say i feel your pain if not your totally giving up on SE, Laffen has reported some nice improvements coming for the M600 and with the new firmware for the HBH-DS970's available. I am about to do a re flash and master reset, read the manual from cover to cover explore every single option, install SwissManager and even as absurd as it seems to run the video player in the background to try and least once more to see if i can never mind love but use this phone. I really do think as a music player it is amazing with the HBH's i just find everything so slow and navigating any where a real pain. But i still still have some faith in SE and the improvements have so far be good. I think we just have to accept the days of true multitasking are gone for good. Multitasking is still possible but on a much more restricted and selective level and this is true of all the new Symbian OS 9.1 smart phones. One step forward two steps back it seems.

I have a DS970, worked fine with the P990i but I am having proving with the K800i. Voice calls remains on the phone (incoming or outgoing). Music is so far OK. I am not sure if his is a feature of Bluetooth, but I use SE bluetooth car kit. when I start the car this turns on, the its connect straight away to my P990i which was connected to the DS970 prior to me entering the car. Slick (right?). When I leave the car the P990i switches back to the DS970. Isn't this great?

for your voice calls problems going to the phone. maybe you need to set it to the handsfree when connected

@dan173,

Can you be a bit more clear with your problem? You talk about your K800i, then the P990 and the HBH-DS970. You are all over the place. I think you are having a problem with the headset connecting to the k800i but then you start talking about something else. So which is it?

i have a HBH-DS970 with a w850 and it continually drops audio. I will have music playing then suddenly nothing, this may not happen for 30min then next time happens after a few minutes. VERY ANNOYING. The HBH-DS970 is still on with the name of the song on display but no audio in headset. I have to re-pair the HBH-DS970 and turn the media player off and on. Problem with HBH-DS970 or W850??

Yes, I have a problem with the K800i and the D970. Calls are not being transfered to the headset.

Ah, okay. Try this. Delete allllll pairings that you have to the phone and to the headset. Make sure your headset is set to receive a BT connection from only one device. Now pair the phone and the DS970. Once they pair, make a test to see if the DS970 will answer the phone. If it does then you are in business. If not, then you should take it back to SE along with the phone and have them make it work.

I've never gotten over 5 or 6 hours. Where did this 14 hours timeframe come from? Is it in the White Paper?

really? its just about that long? 5 to 6 hours then my headset is normal then.

i'm trying to remember where i read that 14 hours. but i guess it's not correct. so just 5 to 6 hours battery life.
