There have been such advances in technology such as dna profiling and many other techniques that it unlikely that in major cases people will get it wrong.
I agree to a certain point that you would have to be 100% sure if the death penalty was brought back over here though.

with advances in tech, i see no reason why we would get the wrong person.. after all have you heard of any wrong sentences in the last few years?
i haven't...
@ goldenface.. why do you not think that if i was to kill your mum in a cold, cruel, brutal attack with a knife that i shouldnt be killed? i had no motive to kill her, just faniced it one day.. why oh why should i live?
PS: Don't worry. i wont be killing your mum or anyone. i cant be arsed with travelling to LPool to do it!!!

hmmmm i m not so sure i still think let them stay in prison and roit in there,i mean some cases are still not certain like m.jackson innocent or not,o.j simpson and sean jenkins, do we give these people the death sentence?

you'd let me rot in prison? but i wouldn't rot.. i'd get 3 meals a day, a roof over my head, a PS2, can go outside in the fresh air.. oh and most of all if im a good boy and reform myself i could be out in a matter of a few years..
you cant tell me you agree with that?
as for MJ.. he was foun not guilty.. btw he didnt molest those kids, he made love to them.

Their money and fame BOUGHT their freedom, end of story! As for letting people rot in prison, wtf? you may aswell send them to a holiday camp. Stealing and other minor crimes sure prisons are a good place to send people, but for rapists, murderers, paedophiles etc etc prison is far to good for them imho!

ok i know we are going out the topic but what about sean jenkins did he kill his step daughter? he was guilty now being found innocent.what if he was given the death sentence then ?

you dont get beaten up and raped in prisons these days, we live in 2006 not 1906..
shame really... 1906 prison is somewhere where i would want to send a peedo..

I will admit the Sean Jenkin's case is abit dodgy but remember we as the public only here and see so much, right? We don't know and never will know the full story.
Like i said above the death penalty should only be for people who are 100% guilty and there is absolutely no doubt, in this case there is so?
As for Michael Jackson i knew as soon as they said it was going to trial it will get thrown out right at the end and what do you know it does.

Yeah course it can! Capital punishment will never come back, not that i can see anyway, shame really. You see some cases on tv like that paedophile the other week, it really makes me sick!

did Sean Jenkins have a job where he knew tomuch? was he a rich man? i know its an old case butif he fits the profile it may of been a set up/conspiracy because he wouldnt "donate" enough or knew somthing he shouldnt like the guy who died about the TWAT (the war agenst terorisem) he was assinated
