A lorry driver who was using his mobile phone just before he smashed into a stationary car and killed a 23-year-old woman has been jailed for four years...
Licence revoked for 7 years.

Only 4 years for taking a life, (albeit 'unintentionally') through negligence/ carelessness ...I wonder how the deceased's family feels about the sentencing...

disgusting that what i got to say should have got more,i read in papers other day lorry driver kills family of 3 only got 3 years.what kind of country do we live in

This happens everyday. There is always, always, alway playground sentences handed out.
Families are ruined by speeding or drunk drivers and the killer gets a ban and a fine.
Someone else commits fraud and gets over 10 years.
They really let you know how much a human life is worth, don't they. Grrrr!!

the justice system is messed up, as someone said before (cant remember who) a murderer will get 4 years, while a minor crime get 16 years...

That's just a slap on the wrist if you ask me! What happened to the days with proper punishments? In Australia it's no better as well

i seen in tha paper . a previsoly convicted pedo was released after 7 years from a life sentence then he kidnapped a girl like a month after and asulted her.he got life and could be out in 5 years( if he is a good boy)the system for crime in this country is disgusting.
All life sentances should be life IMO
And causing any ones death shhould be more than 10 years and actual punishment. not just sit in a cell. |

i dont get how life doesnt mean life??
i know its a drain on or economy. so why not bring back capital punishment?
you take a life, you get yours taken away. and all this talk of criminals being reformed?
once a criminal, always a criminal i say.
but then im for taking peoples hands that steal stuff... make the punishment far greater than the crime then people wont bother..
such as in the middle east,, you dont see crime there..

I totally agree with you. You kill somebody then you should be killed simple pimple. Preferably in the same way you killed your victim, or worse.
4 years is a disgrace a family has lost there daughter, grandaughter, niece, cousin etc etc and that guy will be free in 4 years time.
Absolutely no justice whatsoever!

i love the UK justice system lol i can go out stab and kill anyone i like, because then i get a roof, hot food, a PS2 and a bed... but the second i steal money via frud from a couprt enterprize (say MS) i can goto jail for 10-15 yrs because they pay more tax so they are worth more to the govenment its all greed 1 human pays maybe £8k in tax P.A a busisness pays £100k+ PA so whos worth more to the UK? the man with the money! the UK is a fixed shit hole like the States and anyother "super power" no money? ur not worth anything, have a ulti million busisness... you are above the law and contrabute to the legal system!!

i dont think you should be forced to face the same action you caused someone. but hanging/stoning/shooting should be the means of capital punishement, proper public humilition is wheres it at.
and for other people like peedos/rapists brand their forehaeads.. no getting away from what they are then.
