I know that, but I'm (apparently in vein) trying to point out that the K800 is a cybershot camera (when others in this thread are saying it isn't), and I am drawing in my evidence.
I only mentioned that the K750 uses a sony camera module as evidence that the K800 would likely also use a Sony camera module and not an SE one. Since the earlier and yes not as nice K750 also has a Sony camera module, I reckon it's good evidence that the K800 does also.

K800i is so far better than K750i, if we talk about their camera..
1) 3.2 mega
2) real Xenon flash
3) best pic
4) more useful and wide range of shoot mode
5) stabillizer
6) photo with more detail
7) night photo with much less noise

Just a little off topic but are Carl Zeiss lens better or Cybershot lens? |

Most Cybershot cameras use Carl Zeiss lenses. The K800 uses a Sony lense. The Carl Zeiss is often better, but take the Carl Zeiss of the Nokia N90 - well from all reports that camera didn't stack up that well against the plastic lensed K750 (which is a Sony made lense)
I expect the next "Cybershot" phone will have Carl Zeiss.

They probably not opt for the carl zeiss due to manufacturing costs. But im a bit miffed as to why they dropped the nightmode from the k750i although most of the functions outweigh the k750i's. They could have also delayed the orange light to stay on till the button was pressed so you can see in the dark when you are taking photos. |

guys and gals remember...
1mp = 1024*xxx pix
2mp = 2048*xxx
has nothing to do with quilty only size of photo so im told
i have a 4mp digi cam and use the 2mp size as the files are to big to veiw on a normal 17" CRT PC monitor

yes, but when you go to blow them up and print them they will be pixelated. Also, higher resolution means you can zoom in on an area and crop it without losing quality.
Don't forget, a monitor is a poor display compared to the resolution of current photo printers, so to print the image that fills your monitor to paper it will only be 4x6 inches large (roughly)
