Hi,

Is this the PDA/Phone combo we will use in the future? It combines the functionality of eight electronic devices. Cheers.

I think the best PDA for T68 right now is the new IPAQ 3870 (with integrated bluetooth)

But in 1-2 months PALM will release a new and improves version og the M505 called M515 - with integrated bluetooth and improves colorscreen (65.000 colors).
The price for the M515 is expected to be the same as the price was for the M505 when it was released 1 year ago.

I can't quite make my mind mind up whether to buy the neew IPAQ og the upcoming PALM M515. The IPAQ is a complte multimedia machine but is quite bulky compared to the new PALM M515 which is smaller and more compact with better batterylife.

But the Palm hasn't got all the multimedia functions, the IPAQ got - but it will be cheaper (almost 2/3 of the price of the new IPAQ)

Kind regards
Claus

Onthe other hand I now have read a small note about the upcoming LOOX from fujitsu/siemens - check this link out:
http://www.pocketworld.dk/artikler/pocketloox

Fujitsu/Siemens claims the price of the LOOX will be way below the price of the new IPAQ 3870 - and the LOOX has got built in bluetooth as well - and also both a SD-card slot AND a compact flash card slot.

It also has a sony-inspired jog-dial on the left side of the PDA which makes it possible to operate the LOOX using only one hand - NICE FEATURE !

It can also be converted into a mobile phone (the sim card holder is on the side of the PDA)

I will definitely wait untill the LOOX comes out in the stores before buying a new PDA.

Kind regards

Claus, thanks for the info. I am thinking of ditching my M505 for the new Sony Clie 615 but hestitae because of no bluetooth built in eventhough the selling point is the bright screen. I will wait for the M515 and see whether the screen could match that of Sony.

Hi,

SimpleCall is available from this website for $8.00. This link clearly mentions that the software has been tested with a T68 and a Bluetooth headset.

http://www.pocketpcfanatic.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=SW-57-48291

The software makes it possible to lookup the contacts on your iPaq, dial the number through Bluetooth, and use the Bluetooth headset to talk without touching your T68.

I would like to correct Claus statement. Palm M515 does not have bluetooth built in. You still need to buy bluetooth SD Card or the TDK to make you M515 bluetooth enable. I finally ditch the M505 for Sony Clie 615 due to better screen (even better than M515) and i am planning to use memory stick base gadgets. However, i encounter problem with Clie 615. Aparently, Clie 615 does not support SMS which is one of the feature I use frequently. I had install the T39 driver ( which work in my old M505) but the Clie 615 cannot recognize. In the M505, there was a "phone" set up in addition to "connection" set up which you tell M505 which mobile phone you are using. That "phone" set up is missing in Clie 615. Seacrch sony and palm website on this problem but find no solution. Any suggestion ??
