w810 lights on in macro keeps flashing |

I had this problem too, but now it doesn't flash every time!
I managed to start the light several times without flashing, but suddenly it flashed again.
Does the software in the phone heal it selves, like Windows fixes small problems??? Weird, I think!
Do someone know when new SW appears on SEUS?
(Sorry for my bad english, it is some years since my english lessons!) |

SE gave advise to do a master-reset 2 times on a row ... didn't work for me, but she told me it might help for some |

I tried a total reset, twice in a row! (In fact I resetted it 4 times in a row)
I have switched light on/off several times in Flashlight-mode and Camera-mode, and I have not seen the light been flashing anytime since then!
(I have tried to provocate the phone to begin to flash, but it seems to be all right now!)
Then it is only one bug left: The message-tone, witch is very low first, and get a bit higher until it is finished.
The total reset is worth a try folks!

Oh f..ck !!
It's start to flash again! But after a while when I tried the light again it went to normal!
It seems to be a periodic bug instead of an always-bug now!
Better, but not good enough!
I think we have to wait for an update anyway!
I'm sorry that I didn't test it for a bit longer before I posted the letter above!

Took my flashing w810 back to vodaphone to get it replaced. The first two replacements had the same problem, the third one worked and still seems to be ok a few days later.
The people in the shop hadn't seen this problem before but were going to test some more of the stock and then hassle SE about it. |

over the air - shit i wish my v600i had that...yeh i would try updating, no harms done if it doesn't update is there? - but i'd check around to see what firmware is the best for the w810i at the moment though before doing, but if you can just see whether there is an update without updating - yeh try it...but i'd check with other w810i users to see which one is the best in there opinions first, or if you can't find any bugs in your current firmware then DO NOT upgrade!
hope this helps |
