The reason installing could be difficult with external amplifiers (active speakers) is because the CK3000 output is intended to be hooked up straight to regular speakers. The output level is way too high to connect to a regular audio input (usually these "phono" plugs) of an external amplifier (which is what I suppose these dealers try to do).
It's supposed to be installed like this:
RADIO->->->->CK3000->->->->SPEAKERS
What I think the dealer is trying to do in the case of the external amplifier is this:
RADIO->->->->CK3000->->->->AMPLIFIER->->->->SPEAKERS
But what should be done is:
RADIO->->->->AMPLIFIER->->->->CK3000->->->->SPEAKERS
In the case where each speaker has its own amplifier built in (true active speakers), this would be hard to accomplish, but not impossible (just a lot of work).
I could be wrong that this is the problem with the Bose systems, but unless anyone has a different suggestion, this is my best bet.

Here is the response I received from Parrot on the Bose issue:
Hello,
Thank you for showing interest to our technology.
If you have an amplifier in your car, you have for the moment to use an external speaker.
This one would allow the sound to be not too loud,

Hi,
you stated that the CK3000 only connects to the phone during sync and conversation. I have a T68i and a P800, which I want to use both on my CK3000. Can this be done ? Not simultaniously offcourse, but I want to be able to receive calls on both phones. Calling out is not that much of a priority.
Regards,

I have the BMW Bluetooth kit and it supports up to 4 mobiles. I am very pleased with it and recommend it highly (presuming you have the right car, of course).

The T610 should work just fine with the Parrot CK3000.
Just make sure you have the latest software version in your parrot BT carkit.

I just had a Bluetooth kit installed in my BMW 330i. I am using the SonyEricsson t68i. The pairing has gone well and I am able to make calls through the voice activation. I have not been able to transfer information in my phone book. Any suggestions? Thanks so much. |

Hi
I am about to order the Parrot car kit. Does anyone know if it works when the car sereo is off. ie does it still come through the car speakers when the stereo is off or do you have to have the car stereo turned on all the time. My car stereo is a decent Alpine one and has the lead to connect a hands free to so sorted there.
