@ste

It's a stereo headset so it matters not which is the left or which is right speaker.

@waddie

I have used dietmp3. It's really easy. Just set your settings to CD quality with minimum size and it will compress them to 96kbs. This should reduce each mp3 by around 30%. You can't really notice the difference in sound quality. The demo is available for free on their site or you can get it from kazaa.

Also the biggest MMC I have found is 128Mb. The cheapest place I have found to buy one is here:

http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/PartSpecs.asp?imodule=CT128MBMM&cat=

It would also be worth buying a USB card reader though. They are quite cheap at around £15 - £20 and will read all card types. Well worth it for speed of transfer of files.
I think there is a earlier thread with a link to one.

Has anyone found a 256Mb MMC? Do they exist?

If it was mono it wouldn't matter which was which as the same sound comes out of each headphone. The headphone nearest the mic is the left and the other one has a red ring around the base - red always signifies right in hi fi equipment. Personally I'd want to have the right phone in the right ear and the left in the left cos that's how the music was recorded. Doesn't matter that much I guess, not like it would if you were watching something in stereo or surround sound.

I am sure you haven't seen a 512Mb MMC. Are you sure it wasn't a flash card or a SD card? These are higher memory cards. I searched about 20 places and they nothing went higher than 128Mb. Where did you see it?
