Hi!
eventhough I bought my phone 5 weeks ago I am quite happy about the price drop as I will get the difference to the price I paid, from the carphonewarehouse. it's their price promise
I bought my phone from the CPWH...Sim free. Do you know if this applies to sim free phones?, of just contracted ones?
Any help pls!

DAN, THIS ONLY APPLIES TO CONTREACTED CARPHONEWAREHOUSE HANDSETS - 100% SURE. CW WILL COMPENSATE RECONCILE CUSTOMER IN THE AVENT OF A PRICE DROP WITHIN 90 DAYS OF PURCHASE - RECONICIATION IS IN THE FORM OF CW IN STORE VOUCHER, NOT CASH OR CHEQUE!

I did have a T68 on orange, but have had to return it, because I threw hot coffee all over it.
You all may be waiting some time for them to re-appear on Orange, they have all been recalled and my source in Orange tells me they are at least three weeks away and then only Orange and there own shops will have them for a while again as before. In the mean time Orange have lent me a motorola V60 which is total crap.

I really doubt that the price will drop significantly. Some reasons:
1.) It was Ben82 who started the Thread. OK, he learned to type in small case letters
2.) If they really will extend production they will do it just because the demand is much too high. So a lot of potential customers buy the Nokia 8310 or a Siemens S45 as they don't want to wait for their new handset. And I could imagine that Ericsson wasn't used to produce in these big numbers, so they started with a small production and are now raising. So they won't have to drop the price to sell the additional units.
3.) You remember how long it took for a lot of other high-price-phones to drop in price? For example my old Nokia 8210 had a constant price for more than half a Year.
4.) Think about how many people ask You with Your T68: Hey, what is that for a cool thing? So the public awareness of this great phone is just starting to come up.

I already know one retailer in the UK that is selling them for FREE with a contract. I am sure more will follow in time. |

Oh my god, who cares if everyone got a T68? That would just give me more people to connect to, send MMS-messages to and last but not least - play games against.
So lol with all this 'exlusive group', 'proud owners' etc. Think we are some selected elites just because we spent alot of money on a new phone? Get some perspective... |

Yeah, true. It's all about personal opinion though. I bought mine cause it looked like a decent phone, not cause i'd become Jesus with it, but what does it matter?
What other games can you play against another T68? Over Blue Tooth? IR?

Everybody should be able to buy a T68, one reason for this is that Sony ericsson can develop new models! (And all those lucky few are the first in line to buy these new wannahaves because they want to be exclusive) Itīs all in the game, canīt you see that.
Love my T68 |
