i read tat gettin the firmaware upgrade results in a loss of memory!!
moreover u can't go back to the previous version if nything goes wrong!!
hey has ny1 of u has ever had a firmware upgrade!

Dude, looks like youve been talkin to people who have no idea of what a fw update is. Anyway, it does not result in memory leaks, on the contrary, an update is usually released to fix such bugs in the previous fw version

thats shokking news...i too hav the same model 3220..
it seems i too hav lost almost 400 kb space...
shit...it means we endup with 0 kb sooner or later!!!!

Its not unusual to have phone memory depleting.. Even he you install all new apps to the memory card..0reason being there are some small system files which get written to the main memory during installation. Use a memory handling app which can compress least used apps and have enough free memory. As for the firmware update, if your phone is still under warranty a nokia care shop should be able to do it for free. If not i guess they charge around 500 bucks. At least thats what the se centres used to charge.

@mrao i use a s40 phone and so there isn't any need to install apps (as in s60)
and moreover my phone is in the warranty period and can u tell me that how long will it take and do i had to submit my phone for a couple of days!! |

Shouldnt take more than a couple of hours. If the centre guys tell you otherwise, tell em to keep the blokia and buy yourself an se phone

so u mean if i delete/remove all the installed stuff like games and apps..i shud get back the memory??? but 3220 has separate partitions for games and other stuff..isnt it??
