I own a nokia 3220 and the free memory is reducing day by day... It
shows up the used up space in gallery as 2.2mb whereas i have added up all
the free space and it sums up to 900kb.
Earlier the used space for gallery was shown correctly... But this
problem occured recently....
Is it happening with ny1 of you outta there...
Any ideas, suggestions post it here...

It is common in s60 phones. Becuase if you receive mms, sms, pic messages then the space will be reduced drastically.

But i have deleted all my mms's, videos.... The problem still persists... I contacted nokia about this and they said to have a firmware upgrade... And i have heard that firmware upgrades result in the loss of memory and moreover cause other problems..

The term "memory leak" is used in the computer industry to describe the problem you have. This was quite common with the T610 and a firm ware update fixed this.

Doing the same with your 3220 should fix this issue as long as it has been addressed in newer software updates by Nokia.

Contact your nearest Nokia service centre and check that this is the case.
The car in front is absolutely unique apart from the one behind it which is exactly the same. Murray Walker

But i have read that if you go for a firmware upgrade then it further takes up the memory and moreover makes the phone becomes slow...
