This is from the Q&A page on the Voda site. I thought it would be interesting to see what we can expect from mobile TV in the UK when it arrives.
How much viewing from one charge?
4 hours viewing is possible with level 2 brightness and earphones.
What happens if a call comes while viewing a programme?
When there is a call it stops the TV at once. There is also a setting which allows you to speak and watch the TV at the same time.
When watching TV, if a message is received it is indicated on the top line of the screen. It is also possible to compose a message, while watching TV when the screen is in the Cycloid position.
Program can be viewed even when on the move?
Programs can be viewed on the move as long as the signal is strong enough.
Can a program which it videotaped be played back on a personal computer?
No.
When it videorecords digital TV, encoding technology for copyright protection is installed, records the data, encoding of the data/certification processing is done with the memory cards.
Other than with equipment which corresponds to SD-Video standard “ISDB-T mobile Video profile”, it cannot play back the data which is encoded.
When analog TV was recorded, and encoding technology for copyright protection is installed, this records the data and encoding of the data/certification process is done with phone portable telephone numbers.
(I think this means you can only back recordings on the same handset.)
Video recording is possible?
It is possible. The miniSD™ memory card (selling separately) is the storage.
Can Analogue TV be viewed?
You can view also analog TV.
When will I not be able to view programs?
As long as you receive a radiowave strong enough you will able to view programs..
While speaking by telephone, is it possible to record programming?
While speaking by telephone, it can videotape, but when video-calling, video recording is stopped.
How long can I record for?
A 256mb card will hold: Dgital TV: Approximately 80 minutes. Analog TV: Approximately 72 minutes.
Can it store video recordings in the external memory?
It is possible. Furthermore, 905SH corresponds to the miniSD™ memory card (selling separately). |

How come this has a lower resolution cam than that of the 903 and 904? I am presuming this is the upgrade to the 904?

@fatreg. I wonder if there is a timer function on it, like a proper recorder. To record when your asleep etc.
2gb would indeed give you loads of hours. Its not a bad gadget I think
@scott
I don't think this is an upgrade to anything. It seems to be new model all on its own. Mobile TV is taking off in the far-east in a big way. |

Scott it's a phone exclusively for Japan and that area and will not be seen in Europe.
We're getting the V904 soon enough.
