Here is a well-balanced and much more informative review of the new Nokia 7210.

What are your thoughts on it?

Hardly well-balanced. Reviewer was a clown. I especially like the part where he compares reception of 7210 to DECT-phones of various manufacture.

i had a guy in my store and he was from Nokia in finland he showed me the phone about a week ago and as i to noticed the screen on my 7650 is much better than the 7210 and the 4096 colors dont seem like actual 4096 colors ,because my 7650 displays them much better, the menu was not like the 7650 menu...its the classic old nokia menu!!Funny thing is that it had a images menu and im wondering what memory does the 7210 have???thats the only thing i forgot to ask the guy,as he would not answer any of my questions for example is the 7650i a rumour or not ,or when is the 6610 going to be released in the stores...he would not say a word!!!!!Very mysteries, anyway my conclusion....the 7210 i would not buy

Is it really true that U can't have your own pictures as "wallpaper", nor picture phonebook in 7210/6610???

Few questions :

- Does 7210 support picture phone book or not?
- Does 7210 allows animated gif (like t68 does)?
- Is there any boring item to save the screen like the clock on the t68 on the 7210?
- Some people told me that the light on the oval keys were very bad; how does the 7210 look in the dark?

Thank you for you report and for your answers.

No, you can set what picture you want as wallpaper, downloaded, or taken withe the upcoming camera.
But there is no such thing as picture phonebook what i know of.

Yes, you can set your own picture as wallpaper on the 7210.

The screen of the 7210 is actually quite bright (there is a brightness control, unlike the T68i which has a contrast control). Obviously, if it's set to very bright you will drain more battery and it's difficult to see past all the white.

The case is a bit cheap and plastic, but you can always change it.

If you go to http://imagestation.com and search "Sony Ericsson" under 'Albums', I have a picture of a Nokia 7210 next to a T68i so you can get an idea of the size.

Feel free to take the picture and post it onto a link so people can directly click to see it.

Could you put it up here?

Why not let people do what they want with their money?

Im going to buy it cause im really tired of the slowness in my T68
also the quality sucks, and the buttons are terrible!

So it doesnt have large memory, bluetooth or voicedial ... i really dont give a shit, cause i wont use it anyway .. like many others!!

I would bet that approx. 98 percent of those who owns a T68 doesnt utilise the bluetoothfunction, or the voicedial.

amen to that. it is kind of tiresome to see all the anti-nokia rants in the forum. some are without any basis at all (e.g, someone criticizing something that they did not even bother to try out first-hand).

there is a reason why nokia's market share is many times bigger than that of se. they know how to make and sell phones that people want to buy. that is something se will have to learn. se phones are indeed packed with great technology/features. but they often lack in looks (e.g., the t200 and t300) and responsive interfaces. and that is what most people look for in a phone. the average person does not care about high technology that he or she will never use.

i am an se owner as well (t39 and t68), but i prefer to use my nokia phones when i am not traveling because i can't stand the very slow response (even with firmware upgrades) during sms usage.

Is the menu and sms-input fast on the 7210? Can we compare the speed with 3310 or t68?
