Is it under the LCD screen or just under the outer casing/fascia, as I get dust under the fascia a lot from the phone being in my pocket, but its so easy to take the phone apart and clean the LCD, takes less than five minutes. I'm still unsure about etaab's comment about dust getting into the LCD though...?

No dust after 8 to 9 months, and I don't use a case for the phone.

I have a k750 since may and there's quite some dust under the screen and the joystick doens't work properly anymore. I don't use a case for the phone.

I had thought no dust managed to get under the screen, but there are about 4 very visible speckles of dust when viewing the phone under a very strong light or in a bright environment (e.g., outdoors on a sunny weather).

What's the best technique for cleaning the dust (if you do have it). Are there any instructions anywhere on taking a k750i to bits?

Yeah its simple. Take off the battery cover, remove the two screws under the battery and run a credit card between the front plate and the central spine of the phone.

Then, use an air spray to blow particles of dust off the LCD and out of the case, then simply replace. Hopefully you'll get no dust come back for a while.

Btw, foam or not, the phone will always get dust in it. It happens when the phone takes a knock. Any dust trapped inside the front fascia slowly works its way under the foam seal, and when the phone takes a knock the foam can seperate even for a millisecond away from the LCD allowing dust to fall inside.

Well as for me...first thing when i got my hands on my W800, went for masking on my phone...

Also I keep in nicely in handphone pouch so for me there's DEFINITELY dust free under the LCD except for a lil dust on the joystick...even so I use a cotton swab to clear it away.

Had my phone for 2mths now with no joystick probs.

For more info on masking go here

I got dust in my W800 this weekend.
I've had my phone since early december.

Well, I'm not into opening my case because I heard it's hard to put it back on
And the dust doesn't annoy me that much. Yet.
