Talking design... I REALLY REALLY MISS MY T68!

I am proud to use my T68i since 31 May 2002

T68(i) has the most beautiful and elegant design among mobile phones. I regret to say that most of SE phones have very ugly design.

Here is my T68i:

No don't think so, that was plastic but had a gray color. But on the back it's aluminium, or something similar, the same thing about the T610

Only the battery cover was made of some sort of metal if I'm not misstaking. Everything else was platic.

Not only was the K700 ALL plastic, in my particular case, I had to change my phone because dust kept creeping behind the screen cover, which bothers me to no end. The replacement was still hermetic (apparently) when I got my K750 and gave my 700 to my son, and haven't seen it again with dust on the screen underside, but it's still creaky like you wouldn't believe. Actually, MUCH more than the 750.

@ajape
I fully agree with you. BTW, one of the reasons why I replaced my k700 for k750 was that f-ing creaking sound, which was driving me mad!

i think the T610 was the best looking phone ever. I think they should do a true T610 follow up, W810 is the closest looking with the similer keypad but it lacks the black and silver combo

in my opinion also, i love the looks of the black-and-silver T610. it has the simple but astounding look! for me, it's the best-looking phone... the t68i has an appeal too... it was my first phone, and the primary reason i bought it was for its appearance... also the S700. other people complain it's thick, but it doesn't feel like that to me. the front side is oozing with appeal, and the back? looks like a camera... i love it!

but sadly, i must say that the last few phones from looks odd... really don't know what happened there...

I've also had a T68i and a T616, amoungst others. I really loved that T68i design, but in the end, it didn't have enough technology. And there were just a few things about it that I didn't like. The ring was never loud enough - never. And the screen was just too little resolution, it became too difficult to view after a time. I kept it in mint shape, but last year I loaned it to my step-son for a few months, and now the case is all beaten to shit. Moron.

The T616 was nice, but then I got used to wanting a camera on the phone, and the little VGA style camera on that thing just couldn't cut it. I never used it.

With respect to design, I love the black K750i. Maybe it's just because the last 3 phones I had were light colored, that I like the black case so much.

I love the simple block factor phone; I never liked the flip style phones; which is probably why I'm not fussy on the P series phones; despite all their features.

But as has been mentioned; it's a personal taste issue. Different fones for different folks.

I did like the clean design of the T610. The K700 was ok in terms of looks. Both of those had the brushed aluminium finish, whether it was real or not is another question. The K750 has a really different look from its predecessors, and IMO I don't think it looks as classy or expensive. The other two were great for men and women, business and youth; the K750 isn't very nice for women or the youth. The same goes fr the K800. Just when I thought SE were going back on the right track with the K610, they release the hideous K800! Really, with the Cybershot sticker smack bang in the middle...

SE should really get back to making clean and simple designs with the WOW effect again.

I thnk the k750i has a briliant design. But the materials its made of is absolutly crap. I hav mine 2months and alrdy the black on the frnt is smoothing and peeling a bit at the edges. Funy thng is i hav mine in a pouch 24/7. Weird. I wish it was made wit beta materials cuz i absolutly love it.

Amongst of all coming soon handsets from Sony Ericsson, I like most on K610, it's remembering me of the legendary T610.
But I don't know about the material used in K610.
IMHO the design of K750 is excellent: a bunch of features packaged in a small device.

To be honest I dont like that much the design of T610 or K750, my favourites on SE are the K608i's, the K700i's and now the k800's
