Delivery report works in my country.
And "view status" menu is still there under firmware R5C001. |

can i ask if the recipient of my sms turned off his fone, what will the pop up be? sms delivered or sms sent? i am using T68i and in singapore. thks. |

pop up will be "sms sent".
but at menu "view status" will report "sms pending" (if you turn "on" the menu "status request").

I only quickly scanned through this thread and don't know if this has been mentioned already ...
rrr at the beginning of your sms also works on some networks ... I believe it would depend on the SMSC they are using. Give that a try for detailed delivery reports. Works for MTN in South Africa. |

I'm currently roaming in Vietnam, then got myself a local PrePaid SIM. Lo and behold, with that SIM all the "Delivery Report" and other additional options suddenly appeared in my T68i's (R2F004) SMS options menu, ... and the SMS status report under the SMS Sent folder also works. I see... so even in R2F004 there's support for SMS Delivery Report, just that certain implementation/configuration/restriction in the operator's SIM will effect what's available in the menu options. So, hmnnn, can that restriction (if it is indeed so) be "removed"....  |

tis part of the SIM toolkit which defines the menu structure to an extent within the phone ! it cannot be changed as far as i kno, there may be sw available on the net to manage ur sim toolkit as it were though

The SMS delivery report menu is dependent on your SIM card, or on your operator (as you like:-)). I used to have this menu active on my home network, but I'm now using a Fido SIM card (Canada) and the option has vanished from the menu . |
