Yeah maybe they shouldn't hire ppl who speak foreign... only swedish speaking ppl.... hehe, atleast Ericsson is a swedish company, now when they do the phones together with Sony then maybe they could hire Japaneese ppl too. (Guessing where Sony is from)

My W800i was away for a month and a half and it came back unrepaired! I sent it away as the SEUS service kept crashing on me and I couldn't complete the update. The repair docket said, "Fully Tested and completed all service tests" and "Butttons react slowly as memory is almost full." I sent it away with a firmware and camera issue, and i did a master reset, so the memory was empty! All Bullsh*t! I wasn't sending it away again so I tried again using SEUS, it worked and my cam was back! It took me all of ten minutes to get it working. I don't understand why it wasn't tested. I was actually completely disgusted with their service.

The problem of getting such a phone for a replacement is that you cannot use your existing (backed-up) contacts from your /// phone. Good to keep a spare /// as a backup phone |

MAY I HAVE THE KIND ATTENTION OF HONOURABLE SONY ERICSSON USERS PLEASE!
Here I would like to introduce an extra but undiscovered feature which is extremely important for the safety of your beloved SE. We all know that if we do not use mobile straps connected with belts or neck then there are higher chances of dropping it in public places especially when our mind is indulge in some other activity. For example going to office and trying to catch metro rail, bus etc. and if your phone is lost (god forbid!) then you might hope that that honest person who will get the phone will return it. In case if that case he will try to search your address in your phone and if he couldn’t find it then he might probably give it to police station. So, why shouldn’t we use a useful feature that will flash your name, address and phone no. on the standby screen! I am sure that after completing this small task you will thank the Sony Ericsson and may be to me also Ok do the following:-
1. Press the joystick and reach to the 12 icon main menu.
2. Go to the organizer or simply press 0.
3. Press 3 or go to “Notes”.
4. Press “New Note” and write your Name, Address, Phone no. etc and press “Save”. (Please note that if you write any irrelevant information then it might not show on standby screen as there is a space of 4-5 lines (K700i) on the standby screen. The best way is to do experiment with your information and see how many lines are reflecting)
5. After saving it move joystick downwards to your note.
6. You will see “More” in the right down corner. Press it and select “Show in Standby”.
7. Press the back key for a second to come directly to standby screen.
8. Done
Now you can see your Contact information right on your desktop and if that honest person gets your phone, he will simply read the information and give it back to you. PLEASE DO NOTE THAT THE PHONE NUMBER THAT YOU USE IN YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION SHOULD NOT BE THE NUMBER OF YOUR MOBILE, IT SHOULD BE YOUR HOME NUMBER OR ANY OTHER NUMBER WHERE YOU CAN BE EASILY CONTACTED.
Send yourself a SMS in which there will be your contact information as in case if someone directly goes to your inbox then he will read the SMS where your contacts are given. I have saved my own mobile number with the name “PLEASE READ”. When I sent that SMS to me, the sender name that reflected in inbox was “PLEASE READ”. In case if that person reach to the inbox, there are chances that will read the “PLEASE READ” Message.
There is also a small tip about standby note that if you select off in the “Cell information” menu, you will get an extra line in your standby screen. To those people who do not know what “cell info.” Is, I want to tell them that this is a free service in which the place where you are at present is reflected on your standby screen below the operator name. To activate, do following;-
1. Go to Messaging
2. Move Joystick upwards and reach “settings” {moving downwards will take 10 moves(K700i) of joystick }
3. Under “Settings” Press “Area info” or directly press 4
4. Move the Joystick to “Cell information” and select “on”( TIP:- under area info menu select everything on as these are useful services)
5. Go back to standby screen.
6. In few seconds you will read the current place name on your screen.
7. Please note that this service is operator dependent service. Your operator might not support it. But there are chances that soon it will be activated on your network because Lot of networks around the world provides this service. So select ON as you wouldn’t loose anything by just selecting it.
The last entertainment related tip that I want to share with you is that when you listen you MP3/MP4 etc on your phone with provided Stereo Headset do the following:-
1. Select “MORE” at right down corner and select Equalizer.
2. Select “MANUAL” and move the joystick upwards to boost all the values of graphic equalizer.
3. Now listen to the music. Next time your loved ones will find your phone attached with headphone all the time.
