This thing is good and everyones like in favor of it but i was wondering about battery power consumption once its attached with the cell phone.... since its mechanical, battery wont be able to last more than it does on Memory Stick.

That's short sighted. I could easily eat up 3GB on my K750, no worries at all....
my desired mobile movies, music videos and music files could take up two or three 2GB MS Duo's easily 
Oh and what about PocketPC phones, you don't think they deserve more than 3GB?

thats is really awsome i can't wait till it comes out i would love to have a 10gb walkman phone but there is one thing power i am asuming it would use more power then what a ms would use because i travel alot i like to listen to my w800i but i can only get so much out of it untill the batt fades away yes i could use a car charger but i use my head phones to save my in bulit speaker plus it's hard to hear over engine noise yeah so i reckon the power comsuption would be a down side in my opinoin but storage i love it can't wait but hey u canb't have upsides with out having downsides

@701, as it so happens, if I had a 4GB memory card in my K750, I could easily fill it up. Not just with audio mate. The reason I like the idea of lot's of capacity is not because it would always be full, but so that I can use the spare capacity for data transfer (which might include a copy of a gig or more of data I am transferring from one place to another) without having to delete the music and videos I keep on the device.
I also would like to store atleast 200MB of music videos and 400 odd MB of movies, and several hundred songs (up to 1 GB or more) so I've almost used 3GB.
So in effect by saying that someone wouldn't want to carry gigabytes of music on the phone, then you are dissing all the ipod and iriver users who cart around 40GB of songs? If one wishes to use their phone as an ipod type device to save having to carry two devices everywhere, then it is entirely feasible that you could use 3GB storage on music alone.
So when I say your statement is short sighted it is because you are unable to accept that others may use it in ways you don't find useful. You've failed to see outside of the box of your own interests.
BTFW, I do watch videos - usually cartoon or short episode like simpsons, and I watch music videos almost as much as I listen to music. So please don't try and tell me what I use it for, nor judge me for using it the way I see fit.

@Max: as u r aware, factory systems usually don't allow uploading various data unless it's recognisible by the system (i.e mp3, aac, jpg, etc). I'd like to see u using a HDD phone(which isn't removable, btw) - I'm really curious how would u fill it with thousands of bites of data u were talking about. That was my point and the point of this thread: HDD. This also supports my previous comments that mem sticks r more feasable. Oh,and btw, good luck with ur Simpsons videos and magnifying glass for that tiny screen of urs.

You can choose to believe me or not, but I do watch videos (mostly music) on the phone and I enjoy doing so. Without a magnifying glass
I realise micro hdd's will not be removeable generally speaking (but no reason why it can't be), but I am arguing with your claim that 3GB of capacity is unuseable. When a phone comes out with 1GB plus internal storage, it has full usb2, so file transfer speed to the device isn't an issue.
I do however agree that, atleast for the time being, removable memory is more practical. I'm not a fan of internal hdd's, I just find your statement that the capacity is unusable to be plain wrong. It may not suit you or how you might use a phone, but technically, and practically speaking a 3GB HDD in a non-smartphone would most definitely be useable.
And factory systems not allowing any kind of data, that's just plain wrong. The K750 will store ANY file you send to it (in the others folder), without exception, and if no memory card is present, you can copy to the internal 'others' folder, space permitting. I currently use my K750 and cable ( I rarely use a card reader) to regularly transfer 100-200 MB blocks of data. That's on the shitty serial emulation on cable, so with proper USB 2 I'd be laughing.
