i've never heard the K750i sound quality but i'm pretty sure it's really good. even the K700i had a very nice sound quality for a phone. what the ipod lacks is bass but the overall sound quality is still very good (balanced, flat response). both devices have very good sound quality in their respective categories. the K750i and/or W800i have superior sound quality over other music phones and so is the ipod over other mp3 players in the market. |

| What prevented me form using the k750 was the hassle with the headphones. Even w800/900i should have just built a jack right in even if it made them a little larger. |

never understand all that radicalism about the headphone jack: if it had that, we would loose one of the cool things about having a phone/mp3 player hybrid: the ability to answer phone calls while listening to music - and that would suck big time, and everyone would complain even more than this stupid argument (because you can use the headphones you want with hpm 70)

A lot depends on the earphones you use, even with the default handsfree unit that comes with the phone, MP3s and Radio sounds good. So I believe with a good pair of earphones the sound quality might be actually equal if not better than an iPod.
Still couldn’t find / make a 3.5mm audio adaptor, so I cant say for sure whether it is better or not, but I have a feeling that it would be, cos I was not all that impressed with the quality of the iPod (it didn’t sound as marvelous as some ppl claim)

Actually the best thing is to use something like this : which has a mic and a stereo adaptor at the end so you can connect your favorite pair of head phones to listen to MP3s and at the same time use it to answer calls like the standard handsfree unit. |

Oh I see, I didn’t see that HPM-70 earphones can be detached from the middle and connect a standard stereo jack… I thought it is another version of the standard handsfree. My mistake. |

iPod sounds better than K750/W800 with the latest firmware. Now, if SE would just remove that annoying hiss noise during music playback . . . |

hi guys, i hope you'll understand my problem, do you suggest i get a 2gb mspd + hpm-70 or just get an ipod/creative 5gb dedicated player?
i used to have hpm-70 and 1gb mspd but i have to give it to somebody, i know the sound of k750i + hpm-70 is awesome so i'm wondering if i'll be disappointed when i buy ipod/creative instead? i dont know about the ipod battery but i heard creative can last only around 8 hours only, while my k750i can last 19 hours of mp3 playback. so will i regret it if i buy an mp3 player instead of hpm-70 and mspd? |

@bakayo .... Yeah sure dude you got blah blah blah on ur 60gb iPod thats neat while liStening to music u get a call on ur phone hmmm i can imagine how stupid that situation ..... Dude i think se phone are the perfect deal you can have and im sure 4gb isn't bad either ....... Guys i dont get the fuss about the ear plugs se ear phones are optimised for CONVERSATION and MUSIC so i think it plays music a class apart where the iPod headphones are for pure music purpose..... SE still rocks baby :p

Tell me about it! Why has no one else metioned the hiss?! How can you highly rate the sound quality of the w800i when there is a constant background hiss which ruins the quiet parts of songs??
I've tried three w800i's and a w900i and they all hiss.
