i think a variety of souls and cultures is what makes esato very interesting , imformative and helps it grow.
however there is a difference between different cultures meeting and sharing ideas and interests to plain insults and sniping.
esato has many different areas to discuss many different ideas and ideologies if you dont like them or find them interesting there are many other topics you will. |

It is said that nothing lasts forever. Maybe, one day esato will also suffer a 'death' one day and that will be caused by the members of esato themselves.

@slattery: Well said mate. I mostly post on the South African thread as I find most of the discussions on here irrelevant. Maybe one or two threads will catch my attention but most are not worth reading as they're repeats of previous discussions.

esato is in a sense run by the members the ads that help towards the running costs need to be clicked by members and if people dont come to the site then yes esato would disappear.
but to be honest in the nearly 3 years ive been here i ve seen alot f these posts and will probably see a lot more. esato will keep growing if people keep posting and joining, we the members can influenece the style and type of posts. if you require a more stimulating thread or threads start one and see how it grows those interested will join in and those who arent will just avoid it. |

The day laffen gets bored of this, he might close down esato.
Also the no. of members - which keeps on increasing everyday - is important in attracting advertisements. So maybe thats why all the members are important here, even though how 'full of crap' they might be.

Surely the main point of this thread has in itself become the very thing it sets out to criticise!
Whats this got to do with mobile phones, communications, new technology and related subjects I dont know. It's a fruitless discussion. |
