Difference with Music Mute cables in HCE-26 and HCA-60 |

@fonque
Opel Astra's have ISO connectors as far as I'm aware so the HCE-26 should just plug in.
And yes, you'll need to purchase a holder for your particular phone. You should be recommended one when you purchase the HCA-60 as a mobile holder is NOT included.

Yes, the HCA-60 external speaker becomes redundant, but then you didn't want to listen to your MP3's in MONO thru a 2 Watt speaker anyway, did you?
@PowerPlayer
Basically, the HCE-26 allows the car speakers to act as the earhones would; therefore the sound quality is determined by the phone and NOT the Car Stereo amplifier or any external amplifier you may have fitted. As such the only way to improve sound quality with this type of installation is with better speakers/speaker cable.
However.....
If you want the phones MP3 files to play thru your amplifiers, I recommend the MMC-60 RCA cable connected to the Line-IN sockets on your aftermarket headunit. I expect this could be used in conjunction with a HCB-300/700.

I have a MMC-60; sound quality is average at best. HCE-26 is primarily for better sound quality and convenience during phone calls not music playback. The best solution for music playback is A2DP via a Sony MEX-BT5000 / MEX-BT2500 or Pioneer 7900BT headunit or similar. A2DP accesories are available to upgrade your existing headunit using RCA or front AUX IN connectors with varying degerees of success. And then there are the FM transmitters...
