because I don't want to have to for every single mp3 I own Some users have posted that they can't turn theirs all the way up as it's too loud, I just wondered if potentially a different firmware level would fix my problem.

Going to try my mate's W800i in a minute, although from memory I'm sure it's the same.

K750 and W800 produces nice claritiness through the speaker. But then compare to other phones. Loudness sucks to the max.

Hello,
I ve seen a lot of topics regarding the low volume of the mp3 playback on the k750. I dont care much about the speaker volume but I do care a lot about the headphones volume. The reason for upgrading from k700 is to take advantage of the k750's memory card to store a decent amount of songs. Is the k750 headphones' volume lower than the k700's one ????

My K750i is louder then my ipod! Deffiently louder then the k700i. Get yourself a 3.5mm convertor so you can use your own headphones, as mentioned earlier the provided ones are mainly for handsfree.

The ipod suffers from volume limitation just like SE phones. (you can get around ipod low volume with this: http://volumebooster.tangerine-soft.de/ )

The reason for the artificial volume limitation is to conform to European laws that require audio devices to be incapable of doing permanent hearing damage. I think these sorts of laws suck, although I agree it helps prevent damage to young peeps hearing who don't know any better. They will appreciate it later.

But all said and done, we should be able to choose. They should make it possible to change the setting to non-limited, but give you about twenty warnings while changing it so there can be no misunderstanding about just what you can do to your hearing if you do choose non-limited audio output.
