unfortunately "3" fw can be upgreaded only by "3" itself. according my experiences with "3", they dont take much care of upgrades.

Well, there are now USB flash drivers on the Sony Ericsson site for the K600i/K608i/V600i to use with the Sony Ericsson update service, but no sign of a firmware update as of yet. On the instructions it says to turn your phone off, hold down the c key and insert the USB cable and Windows will detect your phone to allow you to install the drivers, but this didn't work for me. Turn off the phone. hold down the c key, insert the USB cable and then turn the power on while holding down the c key made windows detect the phone as a USb flash device so I could install the drivers. |

There doesn't seem to be any new firmware yet, although the drivers for the update service are available. |

What is the latest firmware for unbranded K600? Mine showed R2G.

Hi all, new here- Ü
Was the K600 taken down from SEUS? A few days back I had this link to a certain driver; when I checked back a while ago, the original link from the 'All K600 support' page is nowhere to find, and when you click on the K600 from Visit the Sony Ericsson Update Service, it just takes you back to all K600 support. weird..
In any case, does anyone here have newer firmware than R2G001/prgCXC1250014_EU_1_MI? There's so much to fix in this thing- but what I'd really like to see improve is performance, especially when texting, the phone can't seem to keep up like my old K700/R2AY004 did
and fix that half-assed Airplane theme, for crying out loud

Expanded Sony Ericsson software update service
The Sony Ericsson software update service now covers 12 phones, including the recently introduced K750, W800, K600 and Z520 mobile phones.
This on-line service enables you to update your Sony Ericsson mobile phone with the latest product software whenever it becomes available.
A wizard guides you through the product update process, installing a client application on your computer and preparing your mobile phone for the software download.

@ kabukijep-I've got the same problem, but with the V600i. I tried the link Uukk posted but each time I select the V600i, K600i or K608i it just takes me to the general product support page for each phone. If I select the K750i it takes me to the update service for it though. I thought it might be my browser (Opera) but I get the same thing in Internet Explorer. Either the update service for these phones isn't working or they haven't made any new firmware available yet. |
